How am I supposed to time home-run robs?

Every single time I think I've got a bead on a ball I come up laughably short. Is there a key to timing these right? Should I be pressing jump at a specific moment?

Weird, that's what I've been doing but my guy won't even scale the wall. Maybe it depends on where they are hit? I'm not sure why the circles would appear in the first place if they're uncatchable.

Well, there are times that the circles appear and the ball is not even close to catchable.

I know what you mean, sometimes I see the ball hit and the circles appear and I get my hopes up, only to see the ball fly over my head by 20 feet.

he doesn't scale the wall cause you probably stopped running. You have to time your run and jump perfectly...
