I honestly can only think of one good explanation.

They looked at the feedback, and knew it was a mistake thinking we'd want to know about season showdown so they scrapped it, and will bring out something better and just say it got tangled up in being compressed or some **** they always say.

That's what I'm going to hope anyway when I'm asleep pretty soon.
