The whole point of EA being present on these boards is a marketing tool. Giving us an impression that they actually value our opinions so we keep buying the turd they put out. It wasn't until this year that Madden seems to have taken some steps in the right direction but given their recent history I'd be shocked if things weren't poorly implemented. If it weren't for the massive uproar about Madden last year I'm sure things wouldn't have changed.

I won't buy NCAA this year for the first time since 2001, the gameplay vids appear to show they have done absolutely nothing to improve gameplay. Even though they tell us all these improvements are in but we can't show/promote it cause of marketing.

No, they were'nt 0-12 the year before last. For some reason I guess I just forgot you guys won it that many times recently. I grew up in Moses Lake so most people there are WSU fans but I moved away from there about 5 years ag and all I can remember of the Apple cup is a UW win other than last year.

Sorry I was getting the years mixed up that you thought we lost....Anyway no blog and hopefully when I check in the morning they have the blog where they show the cougs new uniforms ... Im out!

Sorry my friend. Ian is ours and you can't have him. If he worked on both games. Then both game would be half crappy and half good. I wheather keep Ian where he is and keep geting better madden games every year beyond this year. Sorry but will pass on your thoughts. Ian is already spread to thin as he is trying to make madden a good game once again. BTW atleast for ya'll who cars. Ian did aleast gave ya'll something madden could not share in on because of the legal trouble EA is having with the retired nfl people and all that. That is the Team builder. Atleast Ian spent one year away from madden to give ya'll that aleast. But I am getting both games. So I will get the best of both worlds in the end.

Dont get it twisted, I buy and play Madden also, but Im just more into the college game. College football is more exciting from week to week so I can enjoy it more. The recruiting, bowl games, bands, and all that stuff is on a whole other level from the NFL product. But I play both a lot though!

Yea EA isnt dumb, they slid onto the forum scene asking for input and when they give us a BS feature like Season Showdown they dont wanna hear it, lol. But I understand this has nothing to do with Season Showdown, its a numbers game, the boss dont care as long as he's making the profit he needs to make.

And what marketing are they talkin about? How can Madden do it but NCAA cant, when Madden is a much bigger project and without a doubt the pride and joy of this company. So you mean to tell me you can show me videos of this Season Showdown until Im blue in the face, but you cant show me you fixed the QB Sneak and FB Dive, while also giving the DBs a chance in hell to make a play, or the DL actually going 2 plays without getting flipped head over heels?

After thinking about it. SS is kind of a good thing because it helps ID cheesers but they could've figured out a better way to do that.

Exactly. Why not tie this into your online profile for people to see? If I find out I still won't be able to check my scouting reports and previous opponents I will be pissed.

Madden to some steps in the right direction. Try major steps. Ian in 1 time turn madden way around. Just alone them making superbowl in madden 10 feel like the real superbowl in real life. Madden finally getting a great presention like you seen in nfl 2k5 most likly better. So much more. Madden this year alone took some giant steps to bettering itself for it's fas. Maybe the NCAA crew needs to take a page out of Ian playbook and start interaction more with then fans on the forums and use the ideas from the fans. Ian did. And look where madden 10 is one year later. I give Ian a thumbs up on madden this year. Yes despite me not playin it yet. Just what I have see and read abou it. Madden is going to be out of this world and beyond. And E3 isn't even here yet. LOL

Exactly. It's been said before, but those past interviews/blogs/videos from Madden 09 definitely built the game up for a letdown. Yes, I had fun with 09, but it obviously wasn't a realistic game of football.

But, back on topic, I honestly believe that the developers messed up tonight. If I was in their position and I couldn't have gotten the video out, I would have released a statement saying that I couldn't. It's way past "damage control" now. I'm not mad, it just makes them look very unprofessional.

Someone correct me if the vid has been released and I just missed it or something...

Correct me if I am wrong but they never made an announcement saying there would defiantly be a video out tonight. It was something that was said on twitter which is a good source of quick information but quick does not always mean accurate.

Really have you played Madden yet? All of these teaser videos don't mean anything until people actually play the game. The videos for Madden 09 looked amazing and we all know how that turned out.

Its clear Panther has fallen for their marketing strategy, everything I see that Madden is doing seems great. I'm excited for Madden for the first time in a long time, but I won't say they've made major strides until I actually see it for myself. I'm not going to let some employee of EA tell me they have, been burned too many times on that one.
