What bothers me in that video is in the beginning when Big ben finds Holmes coming over the middle , after he makes the catch ,he still does that dip the shoulder and angle his body move. This does not seem realistic to me. it almost looks like a speed skater taking a turn.

I was hoping, and still am , that the wide receiver animations are a little better this year . I hope the catching (sideline play) and after the catch animations are done better.

Most receivers after catching the ball over the middle will cradle the ball, preparing for a hit. Some will extend thier non ball hand to stiff arm off the defender. I dont think i evere have seen one speed skate after the catch.:wink:

ea still hasn't fixed the whole defense diving at nothing. and the part where ben threw the ball to the TE was crap. he was breaking like 4 guys. and then did a pop glitch. other words he moved back then forward. this is just bull**** that ea doesn't fix the imortant ****. and the side line looks the same! they said they were going to have it more realistic....not seeing and realism!

I agree, the sidlines are garbage, if you notice on the last video EA released. Brandan Jacobs is being tackled on the far right of teh field, but the players on the sidline are all looking the opposite direction from teh actual play, thats a HUGE glitch. And who wants to see a gang tackles every time you run the ball that itself will make the game boring. Like i say every year for the past 4 yrs, Madden it's just going to be Madden, all the big hype to get people to buy the game thats all it is. Until EA WORKS WITH 2K SPORTS to try and make Madden one awesome game, your just going to get the same boring results. The crowd in the game sucks, Football celebrations are horrible and played out,The coaches on the sideline are just plain boring. It's a bad sign when you have the majority of the people on here say they still play NF2K5 just to play a real football game, thats pretty sad. If this Madden series doesn't hold up to it's expectations, i'm done. until NFL2K COMES BACK.

Congrats to all madden fans, this is your year!!This vid bored me, at the end of the day madden will finish number one in sales and 3rd in game play behind 2k5 and facebreaker. Ian is adding things that should have already have been added and fixing things that should be built anew from the ground up. It is hard to find fault in a product that you love so very much, this will all ways be madden's problem.from the design team to the fan base people just buy into the name and the game never evolves as much it should or could.sure it is better than last years; however, last years was not good

Um...gang tackles happen almost every time a team runs the ball in real life so why should it not be like that in the game?

2-3 man gang tackles happen a bit often but any more than that doesn't happen quite often.

This was the weirdest interview I have ever done....the guy sat there and held the mic out but he wasn't even looking at me through the whole thing. He seemed really bored or something, he was looking around the room at the other games and stuff, so I basically had to just sit there and talk to someone for 15 minutes who wasn't paying attention to me.

That sounds like gametrailers to me...lol well at least it wasnt sportsgamers oh wait....

Madden is looking good this year. The only thing that i've noticed with the pro-tak vids is that the RB still carry the ball like a "loaf of bread" when being ganged up on. Or when Ronnie Brown breaks the tackle in the video, he has the ball in one hand loosely. Have you guys noticed this too? I hope ball security is important in this year game. Cause on Sundays if a RB is being tackled by 4 guys, somebody's going for the ball! Hopefully covering up the ball while being stood up is possible. Is there a ball security rating aside from the fumble rating?

Thats right! its' carrying. they need a "carrying" security rating too!LOL

IDK, maybe they need better ball security animations to make the ball carrier look more realistic when being hit.

Side note: I wonder if Ian and crew brought back the WR dive like last gen. Not all receivers like taking hits exp. The greastest show on turf Rams were good for getting down before taking big hits.
