That's my whole thing. For those that enjoy it, go out and buy it. But those that feel so strongly about it being too arcade..ish or whatever should let themselves be known in the only way these big companies understand - don't buy the game. If you can't go without completely, then rent, or buy it used. Pretty simple, really.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Exclusive Interview Week #1
wow, I am mostly upset that the sliders are just like last year. To me, they were basiclly non effective and inconsistent even after both patches.
Unacceptable considering all the other stuff the other depts added. What is the gameplay team doing??????Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Exclusive Interview Week #1
After reading that Im dissipointed. But none of those were game breakers. The main problems last year were the pursuit angles, FIXED. No pocket, FIXED. Pass rush is back, FIXED. They also added wr and cb interactions and TUNED DOWN THE SPEED. Ya the sliders are still the same post update but after the gameplay was fixed from unplayable I believe they will actually have an effect this year. With teambuilder, gameplay, windsocks and field goal net (Ya!?), plus bowl game endzones and custom conferecnes (I will be using this in OD as me and my friends can all be in a BCS conference), and other additions I think this game will be great. No formation subs who cares all it does is lead to cheesing and I would probably ever use this. Anyone else feel like this too?Comment
He seems to be taking the position that the new big features will draw in a bunch of new casual players while maintaining an overwhelming majority of the hardcore fans, despite their anger toward the continued absence of so many long requested smaller features. Unfortunately for us, he's probably right.
I'd say that when push comes to shove 95% of the people around the Net who are upset will still break down and buy the game day one. .
I believe you are right. Each year the NCAA team breaks something significant in the gameplay area that everyone would be MUCH happier if it was fixed. Then next year, as long as whatever X game breaking problem is fixed, the NCAA faithfull will buy it again.
They know this, and its the reason I think this series is so stale now. One year, every QB was at 85-90% passing accuracy. Then the next year, wide open recievers would drop everything tossed to them. Next thing you know the QBs never pass the ball further than 10 yards deep.
Each year its the same forumula. Break something so that the next year people will buy it if whatever they broke the previous year is fixed.
Main question now is what game breaking feature will be included in 10?Comment

Yup... sadly I must agree. No formation subs is a deal-breaker. No more mediocrity in the NCAA series. The buck stops here!

Re: NCAA Football 10 Exclusive Interview Week #1
My only hope about the sliders is that Ben was wrong. I had asked about sliders somewhere else and I was told they were tuned. It wasn't a great response but I assumed they made them more effective. If not, I'll be really annoyed as the sliders were awful last year. This is a potential deal breaker for me. I hope we get further clarification.Comment
