Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
Vote for what I see nothing here. I don't even see nothing on this topic. What are you asking my friend.

Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
I want to vote for #1 but I have this terrible feeling that it will be #3 (which will translate to #4 due to the amount of hype this game has had the last couple of months...)
I'm still going to vote #1 though.Comment

Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
What we already know makes it an "Okay" improvement. If they've only scrathed the surface and there is a bunch of other things added in, I'll call it a good improvement.Madden 11' Franchise should be
Madden '10 "foundation" + depth of Head Coach 09 = my dream franchise mode.Comment

Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
A good improvement, but they've only had one year folks... I have no doubt that 11 will be freaking amazing, but this game will set us up for that with a huge base to build from.
of course the new xbox comes out in 2011... pretty close folks. 2 more years, and they go by so quickly. The Madden that follows better put me in the hospital with a concussion.Comment

Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
Why is everyone forgetting about Madden 09? Madden 09 was basically the starting point for an improved Madden 10. Of course Madden 09's franchise mode was not very good, but overall, Madden 09 really made next-gen Maddens playable. I really think that Madden 10's franchise mode will be greatly improved, but we'll all find out on August 14, 2009. Hopefully we will get a lot of info at E3 about the new features for franchise mode.A good improvement, but they've only had one year folks... Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
I agree. I also remember before 09 came out, everybody was asking about franchise improvements and we were told that in Madden 09 there wasn't much added, just improvements to what was already there. But from what I remember, they said franchise mode would be a big focus for 2010.Why is everyone forgetting about Madden 09? Madden 09 was basically the starting point for an improved Madden 10. However, after reading a recent quote from Phil taken here, I voted number 3 as it sounds like it will just be tuned and bug fixed with the only addition being the highlight show. That's all well and good from a presentation standpoint, but it seems like everything else in franchise mode will be the exact same as last year, just more tuned and with fewer bugs.Comment

Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
This is pure speculation. No concrete news on franchise mode upgrades yet from EA so who knows? I think this will be one of the big reveals at E3. Will it be the best franchise of all time? Well you need to compare it to some excellent competition. MLB 09 The Show, NBA 2K9, NHL, Fifa and NCAA... Its going to take some SERIOUS upgrades to leapfrog those 5 front-runners. I sincerely hope Madden can do it.
What they need to do to shoot all the way to the top is to REALLY immerse us in our seasons. This can only be accomplished by putting our solitary team in perspective and make it feel like a single part of a much bigger machine. It's not simply a string of games on a schedule. The league is a living, breathing entity. Show us what is happening around the league with highlights and analysis. How does our franchise fit into that league? Who is hurt? Who is playing well? What are the implications of a win/loss against a division rival this week? How are we performing? How can we improve? These are the kinds of things I think developers need to do for this generation of technology and sports gaming. Immersion is the key to a superior franchise mode IMO.
To answer the original question, I feel that Franchise Mode will be a Good Improvement. We shall see.Last edited by johnprestonevans; 05-27-2009, 12:11 PM.Comment

Re: Your Franchise Mode Prediction
I predict a decent improvement and a much needed facelift. I think they aren't going to add a lot of the things that it needs yet, like practice squads, trading future draft picks, restricted free agency. But they will fix progression and the contracts vs. cap problems. And they will overhaul the presentation, I hope.
Hopefully I'm wrong and they add a lot of what's been missing as well.Comment
