They added some things to the game to make it "look" better but the game play just looks the same as every other madden.

It's not petty. All of these details add up. It makes a big difference. When there's only one NFL game, it makes an even bigger difference.

That gameplay vid was awsome. It showed the new presentation along with other things. They have the exact temperature like I heard someone request. I saw everything you guys implemented run blocking, pass blocking a.k.a. the pocket, slower gameplay, better looking passes. I am thoroughly impressed and am looking forward to E3.

I agree 100%, I think Ian has done an awesome job and I commend him on all his efforts. I too am looking forward to E3 big time.

I like the way it looks, one thing that stood out was Keith Brooking came up the middle and didnt Just turn on the dime, his turns looked much more slower, and the over the head catch by Crayton rather than the spin catch was amazing.

I agree with you. The commentary has never bothered me. The only thing I did not like about 09 was them telling me that "the game was brought to you be EA sports" every 3 minutes.

They should copy the right-stick kicking system from All Pro Football 2K8.

I like how no kicks in that game are gimmies because you actually have to have skill to make kicks.

It really helps separate the scrubs from the superior players.

And the feeling when you make a 50+ yarder in that game is awesome, because you know you have to be dead on to nail it (very true to real life), whereas in Madden it's just a ho-hum everyday occurrence.

Ok, are you seriously going to refer to post count? Man, I'm a lurker...and from reading countless threads and posts of continuous bitching - it just makes me close out of the thread in sheer annoyance each time. And yeah, sure, getting the star right would be nice...but I bet you 95% of people didn't notice it or either said the logical thing such as, "Oh, well whatever. It's a tiny, irrelevant flaw in the thick of things and most games dont get everything right. Wow, people actually DO make mistakes sometimes!"

Of the thousands of things they have fixed, do you honestly think that the slight mishap of the star facing south (or whatever direction, see who even knows) compared to north matters?

Ummm... no.

A 55-yarder shouldn't be automatic. The way it is now, with minimal practice you can nail those with regularity as long as your kicker has the leg strength ratings for it.
