I think the thing that bothered me the most was that Westbrook and Maclin both lose all their momentum as soon as they are engaged in a tackle. Both should still be moving forward somewhat, and they just get stopped as if their feet are pinned to the ground, then the tackle plays out.

Also that one DB just comes flying in and totally wiffs on the QB sack, which makes him look like a fool. You would think a user was controlling him or something. ;-)

Eh, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really disappointed. The players still run like they are skating on ice. Their legs move ridiculously fast. The graphics always look amazing on the replays, but in the actual game where it matters, they still look... off... Not sure what it is. The heads are huge still. It still doesn't look "real". Ah well. Have to wait for more vids and see what shapes up.

This whole fourm has taken a huge downfall the past few months. It makes me angry that Ian, Donny, Young, Fraizer, Simon and the rest of the the team take time out of there days to read a good amount of everyones posts and no one except a few people seem to respect that. Just look at everything these guys have done for us regarding some of our posts. From what I have noticed Ian, Donny, Young etc are making some of these changes right after they read some posts.

Honestly I liked what I saw on the Eagles vs. Cowboys video. Some people don't want to listen, the video was edited and some aspects were 100% broken. The Gametrailers video really bleeping impressed me.

Im happy with the vid.. I think some of the critiques are justified but a bit nit picky.. Then again, if Madden is to be a true sim we have to look at everything.

I look forward to seeing a game vid when all the bugs are fixed and Pro Tak is functional...

Watched once again.

Take away the cut scenes and the intro. The actual gameplay on field plays the exact same as 09. The player movements down to the QB drop back to the repetitive motions of each player. All looks like last years game. The player sizes look almost the same (Height) across the board and once again the playing field looks huge and while the players look small and stumpy. Pro Tac??? not noticable. Locomotion??? not noticable. QB Throwing styles??? not noticable.

dude they get paid for what they do. and i dont mean coming on here either. they are the ones who should be appreciative for the sheep, i mean people on this forum and the other 5 million who buy their ******* game every year regardless of how much it sucks. they have our loyalty, forcefully because we have no choice. but because there are some people that dont know how to channel their emotions and say things that hurt their feelings and question their 'hard work' into the game they go ahead and ditch us. and then the other side which will rather kill themselves first before they say anything bad about EA. god if people didnt voice their displeasure this game would go no where. i dont blame him for leaving though, im surprised he lasted this long

Get real people, this cant be a KISS A** forum just because they're here posting and stuff like that. We're here to make sure we're getting our MONEY WORTH and if negativity is hindering them from posting here then so be it.

We point out things that need critical attention (not the materialistic crowd eg., mouthguards and crap) to help the flow and address serious gameplay issues that should have long been resolved this gen. Dev time on this game is almost complete and yet they throw out footage of an old build and not expect people to be furious or critical on what they have seen not knowing if thats been fixed or. Most of us think there QA team is not doing there job with all the bugs madden released with in the past few years.
Like I have said before just give me madden 09 with the bugs fixed, true pocket formation, defensive assignments, and realsitic blocking patterns that dont have TEs blockig a horde of defendrrs trying to defend a sweep when someone runs out of goaline or bif formations. I want realistic expectations from my offensive line when someone runs a quarter defense at me and im in a strong run formation.

But yea excuse me for making madden more for sim ballers rather than these fake COMPETITON BALLERS around the country, who exploit those things we see that need to be fixed before it gets out of hand. I want a real juke animation that doesnt have the person whos juking still at full sprint while there in the animation and come out from it.

So tell me whats so bad about that? What? This site wont get as many hits anymore or something?

The footage was good and it was something they should have showed us months ago so that way we could have caught things they are for sure gonna miss by time it releases.

I am tired of seeing those instant deep passes that for some reason or another has WRs beating the ball to its destination when in fact that does not happen as often as players make it happen on this game online and off.

I mean tell whats really going on here with people complaining about the complainers.

Here's what I liked:
--there are some nice added cutscenes to enhance presentation
--there are some nice tackles in there
--the graphics look pretty good

Here's what I'm critical about:
--the pocket is way too large and the rushers don't move quickly enough or take proper approaches
--the shotgun formation has Romo is 7 yards deep, which probably makes the issue of the pass rush even more of an issue.
--the running still looks a bit stiff

It's difficult to tell how much of what we saw will be in the final, but with every bit of info released we have to go on the basis of what we see and not what we hope will be changed before August.

Agree, sorry this is essentially the same as 09, some tweeks, some fixes, and some better cut scenes, but PS2 like movements.
This should have been the game 2 years into the 360 life, not 5.
Really need to be convinced that the passing is truly improved, tired of trowing bullett passes for every route.
I hope every other play does'nt result in a scrum.
And buy the way how fast would Jeremy Macklin pull away from Greg Ellis?

There's a difference between giving critical feedback and just bashing.

Its the mods that give that impression, everytime you bring up something with an emotional tone to it the mods start flagging your account and reprimanding you or whatever it is they do.

We just love the game and since its been the only game in town with the NFL license, we have no choice most the time unless you like playing with outdated rosters and features.

But yea I understand about the bashing, thats something that do needs to stop and keep it feedback even if critical to a point to where its not bashing.

Running animations look horrible. Overall game looks great although the GTtv gameplay looked a lot worse than the IGN gameplay. Running looks like they have an even bigger stick up their butts than 08. They have such unnatural running animations it is crazy, if it ships like that I might change my mind about buying this game. I might be wrong, but from what I saw, the running animations looked like fat kids running in the park. They were so uncoordinated looking. You could tip them over at any point. It looks like the momentum and turn rates blog went down the tube. I don't know, but that GTtv gameplay looked horrible. I am going off the IGN gameplay from now on. Change the running animations ASAP please Ian.
