Over the summer period I was offered and I accepted the opportunity to replace the retiring Fabio Capello as the manager of the England National Team.

Blah... I'm stuck in a rut. Haven't won since the season opener, been piling up the draws with a few losses stuck in here and there. I'm not sure what I can do to turn this around.

Maybe you could try changing your tactic around, changing the starting lineup, or changing the style of play (tempo, passing style, marking style, etc.).

Another 1-0 win. And this was against Man Utd. They just cannot beat me. I scored in the first two minutes, dominated possession for most of the game, then withstood a ten minute onslaught at the end of the game where Man Utd. looked destined to score the equalizer.

Transfer window closed didn't really spend that much compared to the previous seasons, the Vermaelen deal was made last season so the 19 mill did not affect this season budget

Also won my first three game in charge of England, Crouch with 3 goals.

Giocinvo was the player of the year for my team. Milevskyi was the runner up buy of the season, though was injured more than I would like.

Bought the 2008 version today for pretty cheap.

This game has me stoked...so freaking deep.

I'm interested in how the international matches are playied? can you start off a game as a countries manager? or do you have to work your way up?

Also, how does the euro and world cup work in the game?

It's going to be hard to keep this guy out of the starting lineup much longer...

If you like it you should really consider the '09 version, as the 3d match engine is a huge addition. I could never go back to 2d after that.

Well there much like a club, but international manager you can go attend a game and scout a player.
Yes you can start your career in the international ranks.
There's qualifying rounds and then the tourney if you qualify.

Well, I found it for 8 dolla and I figured I would give it a try.

So far, it's worth every single penny. 2009 might be a purchase in the near future.
