A lot of what they showed in this video was similar to things in all of the last several years of Maddens:

standings
player of the week
game recaps
schedules
etc.

It just looks like they rearranged it and put in a different GUI. It does LOOK more appealing but a lot of it isn't new.

The announcer at the start does look new. I am interested in seeing where that is headed.

So, I am guessing there is more to come with that.

But in general I don't think there is much more that is going to be announced for franchise mode other then it now being available online and all the other things we have been informed of already.

What other types of stories would you be looking for in a video game? Player arrests?

- Players looking for trades.
- Teams wanting trades.
- Players holding out.
- Free agency news.
- Players complaining.
- Coaches mad about a loss or impressed with their last win.

Top Stories:
- Coughlin: "We looked like a great team out there..."

Don't buy it. Simple as that, I don't see why you have to make a new topic just to bash the game. Go play 2k5 for another year if you don't like what saw from a less than 3 min long video.

Exactly. We still have no word at all about an actual show going on. Plus nobody is answering this question, so my SPECULATION is that it's not going to happen this year. Nothing has been confirmed either way.

"no highlights in the extra point..tough call but we wanted something (recaps) over nothing. They will be added in DLC, patch, or 11"

Just saw this, as well. People can step back from the ledge now! My opinion, instead of something cheesy, I'd rather go with the '11 option and have them really flesh it out. But Fifa team has put out some phenominal DLC during this years cycle, so maybe they can get it up to snuff this year....

It's a step up from the show we DIDN'T have in 09.

Not to be another Debbie Downer - BUT... ANYTHING is more than we had in 09 Franchise Mode, but that doesn't mean having the injury report and weather on a PTI bar makes the presentation any better.

At this point, I want to see an actual 15-20 minute SLOW Franchise Preview just to make sure of what is in and out of Madden 10 before I jump on either side of the issue.

You're comparing offseason newsboards to midseason news. I promise you, on Sunday night, nearly EVERY major news story is a game recap. Maybe the tagline could be better, I'll grant that...but the "news" would be the same.

If you're looking for constant "T.O. is mad about ___" headlines, then you likely will be disappointed. And, no offense meant, but I hope you are. It has no business in the game unless it makes sense in the context of an in-game moral system, etc.

If I saw multiple shots of different franchise saying the same thing them I would probably agree with you but it's only one.
