Re: Will we be able to use multiple teams in Franchise?
Controling every team has been a part of every madden game. I hope after all they have improved they don't blow it by taking out the option to control every team. I am with you if this is the case I will not buy it.Comment

Re: EA SPORTS at E3: Madden NFL 10 Producer Josh Looman
well some of you guys are nuts if you dont think its a step forward. I mean, no its not like genre redefining or something but it is pretty impressive. The only other thing they could add is highlights but I cant say this is garbage cause highlights arent in. It still looks good.Comment

Re: NFL 10 Franchise Mode Video!!!
You gotta love the brand new presentation in franchise, plus the fact that progression and the like will be shored up.
However, the lack of video highlights is an undeniable disappointment. To me, these types of things are what make a game truly immersive. The other games in the league aren't just random computer simulations, with the output simply being some numbers and data; it's almost like seeing video highlights makes them more real. It certainly does for me.
All in all, it's cool, definitely some great upgrades, but the lack of highlights will leave a lot of us wondering what could have been.Visit JonBob's Packer Blog, your home for insightful analysis and opinion on everything Green and Gold.

Re: NFL 10 Franchise Mode Video!!!
- Everything in the Extra Point is something you can find in the regular menu.
- The Franchise Menu is different and has a temperature.
- Every menu option is the EXACT same as 09.
So, pray-tell... what can't you put into words?Comment

Re: No Video Highlights in Extra Point
I admit it, I wanted a highlight show as well, but at this point, after all these months, I find it really difficult to whine about anything regarding the dev team and the prospects of Madden 10. BTW, it's not going to be perfect. There's no such thing.
Madden has been a stale boring game for AT LEAST 8 years. I've bought the game on release day every one of those 8 years and returned all of them within 3 weeks or so.
Ian, Phil, and Josh have made major changes(with our help!)ALL in a year's time and now have a framework in place to move the franchise to the next level. They are giving us what WE have been asking for for a looonnnngggg time! Did you expect to get it all in one year?
Pumped about Madden. I don't think I've ever said that.Comment

Re: Yes our players can go to the HOF onn franchise yes
The little things are what really make the game to me.
Gameplay and presentation combine make one half of the game.
The little things in franchise mode make the rest.
correct logic for CPU teams, progression/regression, retirement, all time records, injuries, coaching/GM impacting teams and their off season planning logic, all offseason logic, FA logic, salary cap, the draft, draft classes, scouting, trading and trade logic, correct stats for existing players including pro bowl appearances and RoY Player of the year info., etc.
ADD all time career stats for top 15 in each stat and ADD retirement players into that list and be allowed to COMPARE with current active players, FIX BUGS,
IF the little things were all working in Franchise Mode with good gameplay I would be much MUCH happier then some fancy new presentation or little details like colored cleats.
SO, yeah the little things MATTER!
I'm with you though. I play franchise and go through career stats. Love the awards and Pro Bowl noms. Got really peeved when I found out changing a players position wipes all his stats and history. All the things you mentioned are important to the overall game. I've done a few fist pumps, gator chomps and 'lights out' celebrations when I've read about some of the small fixes/additions.
As I said,'I'm not having a go' and it entertains me when people find that little thing that works for them, that for the most part other people wouldn't notice (in this case someone didn't notice it was already in the game!).Comment
