"We would have to implement rules anyways" is one thing but controlling fricking trades and salary cap is weak. No one can honestly say that is cool.

I agree. I don't like it, but it is something that I can live with. I've not bought Madden for a couple of years b/c of certain gameplay issues. It looks as if the things I didn't like have been adjusted, so I guess I will just pick my battles and controlling trades and FA's is a battle that is not worth fighting for me, at least in M 10.

LOL, murderers often smile before they kill their victim. Online Franchise was the re-assuring smile, no cap or trade logic was the dagger in the back...

Anyone catch in one of Pasta Padre's videos, that there will be NO imported draft class for both online and offline franchise?

I thought it was still possible for offline but not online. If it's not there for offline then it's just more fuel to the fire.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Online Franchise Discussion

I've searched this thread but could not find any info.

                      1. Can you replace coaches/teamowners in an Online-Franchise? Lets say Owner "A" can't finsih a season for any reason, can I put in Owner "B" to play the franchise on?
                      2. How will the schedule work in the Online-Franchise? Are there options to play the next week when there are missing games in the current week? If so, how will missing games infect Playerprogressions and Injuries (assuming those features will be in the Online-Franchise)
                      3. If there is really no salary-cap in the online-franchise, how should Free Agency, Player Re-Signings etc. work?

                      Thanks for infos in advance!

I still can't believe the online dynasty length is only 10 years. Only being able to take our first draft class into their early 30's is terrible. It should be long enough where you will have turnover at all your positions. They should at minimum double the length of the online franchise to 20 years. No salary cap and no trade logic is a joke as well. I am excited about the gameplay changes which have been made but I am disappointed the online franchise thus far. Hopefully I will hear something positive in the near future about this mode. I am extremely happy it is in but disappointed in how it was implemented. Do they have any plans to patch some of the online franchise problems?

About online franchise and no salary cap.

Somebody correct me if im wrong but i dont think no salary cap means a team has unlimited funds for re-signing players and free agents. Each team has a certain amount of money based on team revenue, right?

Like in Madden09 franchise mode, your amount of money for hiring coaching staff, training staff and stadium improvements is limited to the amount of your teams revenue.Your teams revenue can be increased by being awarded tv contracts, signing corporate sponsors etc.

So with no salary cap in Medden10 online franchise, maybe each teams money is limited by the amount of their teams revenue. If thats true, teams with a higher revenue will have more money for resignings and free agents but teams with lower revenue would presumably be able to increase team revenue by improving their team in the draft, winning games, being awarded tv contracts and signing corporate sponsors like in M 09 franchise mode.

                            I could live with that.

Naw man forget all that revenue noise. They need to put a slary cap and trade logic in Online Franchise period. It's bad enough that it's only limited to 10 years, the fact that it is missing these key elements is flat out wrong. They were able to focus all this time on putting fricking colored cleats and wavablehand towels in the game, the couldnt catch the salary cap and trade logic? See man that's the reason why people get so pissed at Madden. Endless amounts of little petty things get in the game, but huge features managed to get skipped or "we don't have disk space, time to complete"etc. That is just plain silly. Even if it was based off revenue, how in the hell can a team really change their fortunes in 10 year, when it takes at least 3 just to completely change from loser to super Bowl winner.

Please tell me that Salary Cap IS IN for ONLINE FRANCHISE

This is a huge mess up IMO if it is confirmed it did not make it in.
