I agree with this. For the first week I'd enjoy the new presentation, maybe everytime I visited a new stadium I'd check out the entrance, but I wouldn't watch Clemson touch Howards Rock everytime I play at Death Valley. I want solid gameplay, I want ratings other than speed to matter, I want recruiting and dynasty even more in-depth than it already is (and I'm already pretty happy with where its at, minus a few glitches). I don't care at all about IAA teams, in my dynasty I'm not going to schedule them anyways, so it doesn't matter to me at all. All of that stuff is nice to have, but its not essential to me

I don't see what the big deal is if the teambuilder rosters are final. its final for tm not the game most people edit them anyway so what's the point of getting your panties in a bunch. The game i'm sure will have most of the players right. but after that utah qb made a fuss bout his likeness being in the game even after he transferred schools expect them all not to be right. what the difference anyway most of us are going on locker and picking up rosters anyway with all the correct players.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Impressions (Pasta Padre)
Just about what I expected. NCAA09 had tons of problems but I still played it a ton. Teambuilder is fantastic and the new gameplay and dynasty additions (along with all the fixes, especially in dynasty recruiting, which hopefully do not cause more problems), so I'm still going to enjoy the game.Comment

For those of you that do not like the set up play feature, Pasta said that it is not always going to work. It increases the odds of the play working but does not guarantee it.
He even showed a couple videos where set up plays resulted in incomplete passes.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Impressions (Pasta Padre)
Off the top of my head I can think of a few. I don't think there are major changes.
*custom conferences
*competitive recruiting
*recruiting and rankings have been tweaked (location not as big a factor in recruiting now, less undefeated teams in sim as well)
*recruits come in rated lower but progress faster
*recruits aren't as fast as before
*more true athletes that are equally good at a couple positions
Here is one article from ESPN but there are other sources out there: http://sports.espn.go.com/videogames...ory?id=4215220
Edit: Here is an EA blog with more info: http://insideblog.easports.com/archi...y-details.aspx
This site is keeping a running list of NCAA as well: http://www.virtualsportsnetwork.com/...a-football-10/CPU Logic has been updated in how they recruit, handle their rosters, and simulate games.- AI after filling all their needs will begin to target a specific position. In years past they would always go after QB’s and FB’s now in NCAA Football 10 the CPU will select different positions to attempt to add depth.
- CPU will perform position changes. For example if they have two Right Tackles (84, 87) and one Left Tackle (75) they will move one of the RT’s over to LT.
- We revisited some of the simulation logic and now less teams are going undefeated

*custom conferences-based on online dynasty(and a waste if you are a traditionalist)
*competitive recruiting-cool

Re: NCAA Football 10 Impressions (Pasta Padre)
Custom Conferences do nothing for me. I mean having teams from random parts of the country in one conference, which is exactly what people will do in online dynasty do absolutely nothing for me. It just doesnt feel like college football, and it just doesnt feel right. Having a conference that has teams like USC, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, etc. in it seems ********, unrealistic, and it certainly doesnt feel like college football to me. Some parts of competitive seem cool, but the downplaying aspect of it screams negative recruiting, which is not cool. Its bush league. If I need to downplay another school to get a recruit to attend my school, then I dont want that recruit. I want people who want to attend my school, not people who need to have a school downplayed to attend another school.Off the top of my head I can think of a few. What/who do you get when you add negative recruiting and lobbying to play in a game?
I'll give you a hint, the coach/school is in the SEC.
*No, its not Lane Kiffin* and *No, its not Fat Charlie*-hes not in the SEC, but lobbying and negative recruiting can be associated with Fat Chuck.MLB: New York Yankees
NCAAF: Michigan Wolverines
NCAAB: Cincinnati Bearcats
NFL: Houston Texans
NBA: New York Knicks

Re: Pasta's review is up(No team entrances)
While I won't use CAS either, to say that is the reason for little improvement in other areas is just silly. In fact, Ian (from the Madden team), took time away to work on this with the NCAA team, and his game had no problem making huge leaps forward.
Don't blame the features, blame the gameplay team who tweaked instead of advanced.Comment

I agree that at the end of the day the lack of advancement falls at the feet of the dev team. While I won't use CAS either, to say that is the reason for little improvement in other areas is just silly.
