VB is NOT the ultimate boxing game. BR2 is better, I am not 100% sold on the VB footwork comment.

The head movement issue is one that I would like to see addressed. I'd like to see an 'auto' type of setup for this. One that slowed as the fight wore on and where fighters like Pavlik would have a much lower rating.

My question is why does the demo move so much slower than the videos EA is showing at E3?

Yeah I agree certain fighters should have slower head movement.

In regaurds to VB's footwork this is what I'm talking about.

        Look at 1:00 - 1:07
The animation is a little wonky but still thats effective movement and it shows what FN does wrong.

Also I'm thinking FN R4 will be better than VB with the right sliders. VB is too old for the crown but its still better in a couple key areas.

Man, I cant STAND the way the boxers move in that game!! They're like lil jack rabbits on crack or something. Career mode was super deep though.

As you see, they get plastered in place for the bob and weave also. No boxing game has resolved that issue yet. Its just normal to me, thats why I wont dock FN4 any points for that issue.

As far as the other poster saying VB wasn't the best, it was BR2, I can agree with that. I just use the VB title pretty much as a blanket title for all the games, lol. I have Hajime No Ippo 2, victorious road. Its the straight Japanese version (I'm in Japan at the moment)

Whatever one it is, I have the one with the super deep career mode.

I thought Arthur Abraham was in the game. I pre-ordered it because they said he would be in it. They put bitch *** Pavlik but no Abraham? WTF?

I'm not sure where to ask this and I'm afraid to start a new thread But do we know anything about the online modes and career mode. I'm hoping for a multi player online career mode. A private one with say just a few friends and cpu fighters.

not a online franchise per say but FNR4 will have a online "league" where every player will fight to become a champion in a wieght class...I think its CABs only not sure...

Hmmm... Can we have private leagues just friends ? Probably not, I guess it will be more like the Be A pro hockey league.

Not really sure, for all I know it may just be a glorified online rankng system....

Nice to see the button mashers being exposed.

                            Adapt and overcome.

I agree if its do to online cheaters but I only play offline .
I do enjoy the new system almost revoulutionary like EA NHL they really implemented it near perfect IMO.
Do you really believe most complaints are from button mashing cheaters as I prefer buttons in all other sports games ? I mean if I had to use a stick for Baseball or hoops I wouldnt play them .....
Options are a good thing at least offline.
                              thanks

Yea I like the new control scheme but don't understand EASPORTS NOT GIVING THE PAYING CUSTOMER OPTIONS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN AVAILABLE...and then let people only play with the new controls online to prevent turbo controllers, etc. that would be ideal from a game company. I don't really care either way nor am in favor of the button controls or even played the old FN's. I have read people with cerebal palsy can't play, to people complaining about breaking/wearing out their new $60 dollar controllers (hilarious I know!). Is it really a big deal to give these options to the consumer and have whatever online play as well.

I can tell you from the UFC game that lag and possible turbo controllers are the only real faults in gameplay. Despite what you hear everything has a counter and a strategy involved. The actual online setup is a complete failure in the THQ game however. People can quit without consequence which makes the ranked matches worthless after attaining a certain level (most everyone seems to quit to protect their precious ranking).

It seems with more damage from all punches and less stamina, and 12 rounds will be enough to provide some tactical battles and the need to clinch and certainly block and weave to counter stuff, etc.

I hope sliders are available online whether ranked or not which would allow the OSports community to run a proper sim league.
Give people their options for offline/even online and have the ranked matches with the new scheme to tighten up the cheating/gameplay. It should be pretty good online I hope.
