    Re: ESPN - Bears roster/ratings

Let me premise this by saying im a vikings fan.

Cutler 87 - Fair, maybe too low.

Forte 89 - Fair, maybe too high

Olsen 82 - Bit low but fair given last season performance. Expect to rise in updates.

Bennett 72 - Not too sure how he's higher than hester.
Hester 71 - Seems low but im sure he's still electric with the ball in his hands.
    Iglesias 69 - who knows.

Pace 87 - Way too high. Should be an 82.
    Beekman 75 - Fair
    Kreutz 87 - about right. 88
Garza 80 - Fair, maybe too high.
    Shaffer 79 - too high.

    Harris 92 - maybe too high... 90.
Ogunleye 83 - Fair, too high if anything.
    Brown 78 - bit too low. 80.

Briggs 95 - Fair... maybe too high. 93.
    Urlacher 94 - Fair.
    Roach 68 - Don't care.

    Tillman 82 - Fair
    Vasher 75 - Fair
    Bullocks 76 - Fair
    Payne 76 - Fair

i went back an re-read the ratings blog... 40 time isn't the only factor in speed rating. Forte's 4.44 at the combine would translate to a 91 spd rating if just 40 alone. Manning's speed is way off!

I know by no means are their CB's burners playing Cover 2

            Charles Tillman 82 Speed
            Nathan Vasher 85 Speed
Brian Urlacher 85 speed <-- that urks me so bad, yes I realize early in his career he could run like a "safety" but he is slowin down now.

Ray Lewis is faster then Charles Tillman gosh I don't want to have to edit 75% of the rosters but it will actually kill me to see it.
I was thinking to myself...82? I dont watch much bears play so I am not able to give a good judgement but I was shocked to see how slow the DBs were.

How is DeAngelo Hall ('Skins) rated higher than Nathan Vasher? That, and the overrated tackling of Urlacher, are my only disputes. DeAngelo is average at best, but he gets a 79? No love for my man Nathan Vasher.

I don't know what to say about our corners... wow. I can only imagine about other teams and their ratings.

Our corners were not great last year. Vasher was hurt most of the season and Tillman didn't do much. Urlacher's tackling at 93 is fine with me.

And the ratings were scaled down across the board for every team.

It seems once again mods just close what they feel like closing based on how much they like the thread. This is CLEARLY discussion on ratings, so why has this not been locked or moved. Does no one see the sticky at the top of the page for ratings? Delete this thread please, this clutters the board for other, more important discussion.

Sorry for being an ***, but I've had threads closed because they "clutter the board" and this is doing the same according to the mods.

I'm only talking relative to others. When D. Hall was rated 68 all the 'Skins fans freaked so they bumped him up... 11 POINTS. And now he is better than Nathan Vasher?

And Urlacher cannot tackle for his life. I hate to say it, but he's washed up.

I am missing it somewhere, but I don't see the option to check out who is coming up in the future.

Can someone tell me what day the 49ers ratings are coming out?

                          Thanks!

I think they should both be at 79 or 80. Both Pro Bowlers had terrible years.

I still believe in Urlacher's ability. I just think he wasn't used properly last season. The D line did him no favors either.

As for the top, fair enough.

I don't really think Urlacher has it in him anymore though. He is losing his quickness, which is what made him the great pursuit linebacker that he once was. Last season he couldn't tackle a thing. But, he was beat up due to the D-Line slacking. He may return to form this season, but I don't find it likely.

You have to believe man. I'm hoping Marinelli is as good as advertised a D line coach. Lovie is calling the defense. Hopefully the offense will stay on the field longer providing more rest for the defense.

                                We have trailed off subject.
