Anyone got any impressions? I really want some to help me know what they think of the game before I get it. Oh, wait I have gamefly.

I am not feeling this one at all.

Even with Motionplus, the shot detection is really spotty.

The main problem the game has is that it has trouble detecting whether you are trying to hit a forehand/backhand, and screws you up when you end up hitting the wrong style of shot.

Career mode is pretty limited, too.

But if you're an online guy, it's pretty fun and lag free.

Just expect there to be just as much frustration as fun from all the missed shots.

I cannot remember the last time a game got me this worked up screaming curse words and racial slurs at it for screwing me over.

Are you using the WMP or regular controller?

              I've used both.

Everything I was talking about in that post is in reference to the motionplus controls, though.

The game basically plays identical to Wii Tennis without the motionplus, in that shots are 100% based on timing.

Yeah i have been having the same problems. With WMP it barley works much, but when it does it feels great. It took me about a half hour to figure that it was not me that really keep screwing up that its how the game is. The more i play the better i get and less the little problems happen.

But it does play a good game of tennis, unforced errors, aces realistic surface makes this game a good tennis experience.

Yep, when the shots are being detected properly, it plays a pretty fun game.

Unfortunately, I usually have goofed shots messing me up about once every 6 or 7 strokes.

I just hate how the proper grip for this game is to hold the Wii remote with the buttons face up "TV remote" style, making the side of the remote = the face of your virtual racket.

I like the way Virtua Tennis does it a lot better, where you hold the Wii remote sideways and the face of the remote = the face of your racket.

I just played one match and am going to enjoy this. It can be a tad frustrating, but more of it is me taking the time to learn the timing and controller position (it does register top spin, slice, flat shots, etc), so right now all the frustration is me. With the nunchuk I can get myself in position and had some pretty fun points.

Played with and without the numchuck. Which do yuo guys prefer? I guess I'll be using the numchuck but it'll take some time with the movement. Solid game so far.

I started without the numchuck, then used it, then without, now i am using it.
Just its easier to control when trying to go around backhand or forehand.

So how do you check your friend code for this game?

Does it even have one, or does it just use your default Wii system code?
