Someone at EA should take note of the fact that not one single poster yet has chimed in and said: "Thank god they have decided they are not going to delete my create-a-school to fix this roster problem."

EA has proven they really aren't that interested in community opinions thus far, why would you expect anything different now?

And plus, these OS message boards are what? <10% responsible for the created schools and sales? Don't get your hopes up.

I agree with the majority. Get rid of TeamBuilder or the sales for this game with bad rosters will be terrible.

It is not as easy to just "get rid of all the TeamBuilder teams" and that would fix the rosters. And frankly I do not want to rush into a choice we can't take back... hence we are going to take a bit of time and get the best solution possible for everyone, that seems fair (and the right thing to do) to me.

what kind of shop you guys running there? Back up the DB and put up a clean build of TeamBuilder, put a note up there letting people know it won't be available for a couple days

Just to add something, if the wrong version was shipped, and it looks to be the case, where was the process of checks? I'm not a programmer but I know a few. Current technology allows for sytematic checks to ensure all versions and software numbers are checked and double checked and can be done within minutes.

Something is wrong with the tea in China if you ask me. A multi-billion dollar comapny not checking specs before disc pressing?

Good luck with a solution guys, rooting for it, but I dont see how considering the rosters on disc are a debacle and you arent sacrificing TB....and we thought sliders were bad....wow.

i've been buying the NCAA/Madden dual package draft class importing since the 2004 version, and I can tell you after all these years its obvious that they don't do real testing at EA

I am at a total loss for words on how such a HUGE mistake could get by testing/double checking?

Could someone please explain the process that is currently used to make sure errors do not take place when making a NCAA game?

I know in medicine at the end of surgery before the patient is sewn back up there is supposed to be a count to make sure all the instruments are accounted for. Even before surgery, doctors often mark which side of the body they are supposed to operate on so that they do not cut the wrong side. etc...

It seems to me such a system could not possibly be in place for NCAA. Perhaps, it should be considered in future years to prevent these (what seem to be more frequent every year) huge mistakes from occurring.

I didn't think it was possible for a bigger screw-up than last year's roster debacle, but I forgot this was EA with a development team that was clearly not prepared/qualified to start working on the game.

I'd be a lot more understanding about the roster snafu if it hadn't already become an annual issue with NCAA where there are major bugs and flaws on release that require a patch. It's been obvious for awhile that this product has serious quality control issues. I've been a day one buyer for at least ten years but this year I think I'll pass.

Russ, I dont think all freshman from real teams are even there! Fix those first then worry about the generic TB rosters. I have an idea, fix all the rosters for the real teams, and send out a patch on launch day fixing the generic TB rosters, and some other fixes that are for sure going to be in the game.

See, instead of this turning into a thread to bash the EA developers every post, add some constructive response. Its not that hard. We want this fixed, so we should throw out idea's, instead of bashing the dev's.

Drop the teambuilder rosters or delay the game until this is fixed, just sayin'.

Not a bad idea, but if they delay it too much then they start running up against the release of Madden 10.

we pay EA and EA pays them, on top of having little useful new (old gen) features (like formation subs), we got Season Showdown

and now rosters are completely horked up and it's not like this is a 1 time occurrence, like someone said - it's becoming an annual ritual
