Whats the bigger screw up?

Sliders that dont work or bunk rosters?

Neither should ever happen....back to back years nonetheless.

EA was in a position to really earn the consumers trust back after last years debacle, instead they dug the hole deeper.

It pisses me off even more since they focused so much attention on something as trivial Season Showdown. Maybe they could have caught this problem earlier if they weren't busy figuring out if going for it on 4th down was -10 points or -20 points.. It really shows what their priorities are.

It's a ****ty analogy.

I feel special to even be acknowledged by TJ. I don't think this is a good way to act though as a mod. I was trying to get my point across so of course I over dramatized it.

im still not understanding why you think teams like Florida or Nebraska are messed up. Its the teambuilder site with user created teams. Where is everyone seeing these supposed finalized rosters?

When you select a roster template, about 80 teams are messed up. Bigger teams are not. NOT ALL TEAMS ARE MESSED UP. Not many people understand this.

but a roster template isnt a schools roster right? You have powerhouse cupcake average joes yadda yadda but there is no Florida or LSU template. I understand that created teams are messed up im not getting the issue about non created teams being incorrect

Once you log in, click on "Create Your School" in the upper right corner. Once that's loaded, click on "Roster" to the far right. Under "Choose roster template," you can select from the teams that are in the game - check your school's rosters out and compare them to any you might have available (spring prospectus, various pre-season magazines)

There are both generic and team specific rosters on the TB site.

I believe it was an accurate analogy though. We continually get jerked around by NCAA every year with these types of problems.. Its ridiculous a factor of the game this substantial has been completely botched, and it took us to bring it to their attention... yes, something as basic as rosters.... I look forward to seeing the outcome of the situation and the quick-fix they come up with.

I'm just going to say thanks EA dev team for trying to find a solution to the roster issue and I wish you well on correcting the problem.

I for one am not panicking because I deal with issues in my life often. For example, my light bill might be due on the 13th and I don't get paid until the 15th, but my kid had a medical emergency that exhausted my light bill money on the 4th and its now the 7th. I have time between the 7th and the 13th to FIGURE OUT A SOLUTION.

I could give many more examples but my point is this. The game did not RELEASE with the wrong roster, teambuilder did, and I didn't and am not using that feature. The EA team is aware of the problem and has time to find and implement a solution. So there is no need for me to get on this thread and complain. But if the game releases with F'ed up rosters.....I'll be opening up that can of whip a$$.

So my comments are on ice until July 14th.

My guess is the guy doing the rosters must have had several builds of the rosters and used the wrong one. It appears the one he used was an early build with all of the people who have already graduated still in the game and the ratings being way off. It just seems like the should have some quality control system set in place where someone looks over the rosters when this guy is done and gives them an ok. I appreciate Adam and Russ coming on here and giving use updates on everything and talking to us. Russ I guess I just would like to know how you all go about doing quality control with rosters? To me, since the NCAA team is on these boards, yall should get a couple of the guys on these forums who do the rosters for NCAA to QC yalls final build of those rosters.

If blame is going to be placed on anyone, it's not the roster guy's fault. I'm sure there's a central place where all the files are stored and whoever's job it is to grab the current files to send to print is the one that messed up.

Seriously, do you think that the roster maker would spend all that time making sure the rosters are as accurate as can be and then send the wrong file?

yeah dogs18 is right a lot of ppl wont even be able to use teambuilder (although most ppl will) anyway they have to get the roster for non-online player cause then why would they buy this game?
