Rental at best. I'm not the type that cares for a eatery telling me that their french fries are so good that you dont need ketchup. Let me judge. The option to take face buttons out makes this a rental at best. All that downloading and patching is an omission of failure. They should honestly lower the prices of these games. Good info. I like the chart with the max numbers for hand speed, foot speed, power, etc by weight division. I see button punching will be added eventually....maybe.

sounds good so far. Can someone find out what damn sliders they have? i saw the pic with the ones we know about but i also saw tabs there so ther could be more sliders!

The possible button punching patch is an admission of failure? It could be viewed as being flexible. What other downloads are you talking about?

I agree that you can look at the possible button patch as hearing us and being flexible, but I don't. I can fully understand 2K taking that cheesy 2K Cam out of online play because it is pure cheese. You can lead pass all day with no talent and win games if the more talented person refuses to use it. On the other hand, I dont think button punchers have a clear cut advantage. If so, why do stick users claim its natural. How can someone doing something unnatural have an advantage over someone doing something natural in competition?

Finally, the downloading comment I made goes along with patching. I don't want my hard drive space taken up by patches I should have never needed. That will eventually cost me more when I need a new one. It's not just EA with all this patching either. They all are costing us more in the long run.

I think they were trying to move the game forward by not having the button option in place and that was proven wrong by the fans and EA is making amends to their error and making in downloadable I highly doubt that they will charge for that.

I've never really played the Fight Night Series other than a few matches on PS2 of the first game, the 2nd game's demo that came with MVP, and a few of Round 3. I really like the demo and think this may be my first boxing game purchase since Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.

But I have to respectfully disagree with Mr.Mahar about stripping of titles.
I hate it in real life too, just like I hate multiple straps, but it's part of the game.

You should be penalized if you refuse to fight your mandatory challenger. It would make unifying the belts that much tougher.

Well, it depends. Titles shouldn't be stripped simply because a fighter skipped a mando. What if the fighter is trying to unify instead of fighting a second-tier Mandatory? If a better fight can be made then it should be. Fighters should only be stripped for sitting on the title and not fighting anyone at all.
