You can & I can, but EA can't. Team builder and season showdown are two heavily promoted features in the game.

Yes I totally agree. It seems like they sacrificed other important aspects of the game in order to get this up and running

So yes the phrase "not perfect" can mean many things, I think we disagre here on the use of the phrase " not perfect" to describe this roster situation. The use of the phrase "not perfect is used to describe something adequate thats leaning on the side of optimism. If you feel so inclined to describe the nature of whats present here in these terms go right ahead.

Last year we had WIDE OPEN GAMEPLAY,

this year we apparently have WIDE OPEN ROSTERS?

I couldnt care less about rosters, i'm used to playing with cpu generated rosters anyway.

One thing i do agree with on the negative side.. You take the licensing rights, Give us a disfunctional 2009 game which patches never really fixed, Now we get inaccurate rosters (inexcusable) and gameplay yet to be determined? It's hard to see where this is worth $65.00 (tax incl)

A price break seems in order.. but that aint happinin!!

Just add me to the list of guys waiting to take their money elsewhere as soon as another college game comes out.

Teambuilder stays.....

These rosters will be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT after one off season of graduations, recruiting, leaving for pros,

teambuilder is FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

I would just go ahead and expect this not to be fixed.

It is my opinion but I believe the whole idea of this being the wrong version of the roster was just a smokescreen. With that being said, I dont see them being able to fix the absolute abomination that are the rosters this year. It's disgraceful.

I just read through all 45 pges of this thread, so you can tell this is an important part of the game for me. I really don't know what to think of the roster issue. I'd like to think that rosters in general have not been a problem in the past, and won't be an issue this year, but I'm really worried. I figured this year was gonna be 09 with a roster update, but with the speculation of butchered rosters it may not even be that good. I still am optimistic things will work out. This time every year we know nothing about the rosters and they turn out fine (considering the amount of work). Why should this year be any different? (I may have answered my own question).

I think the only thing we can expect to be fixed is freshman added to teams that did not get any. I think that you are right here, how does a roster with many teams having 0 freshman ever get made in the first place. All we can do is speculate, but I am having a hard time believing this. Many teams having 0 freshman indicates to me 2 views: either EA did not look at the rosters once after the final build was supposedly finished, which I find hard to believe, or these were the final rosters. If not for the community this game would have lauched in this state and still may anyway. I find it sad that know one on that team noticed these were in this condition. Which makes me deduce that maybe the " new roster guy" lives somewhere in Asia.

Because, this year, instead of doing rosters up to the last second before it goes gold, they let them go 3 weeks early with teambuilder. And teambuilder's rosters epicly fail.

I wonder if the PS2 version's roster will have the same problem as the 360 and PS3.

It shouldn't because their is no teambuilder mode in the PS2 version.
