NCAA Football 10 Video: Central Gameplay

I was mostly impressed by the video and I viewed it as a HUGE improvement of what I've been seeing of NCAA 10 recently. But I'm not really taking it seriously because it isn't user gameplay footage. What I didn't like in the video was a defensive lineman being sucked into a blocking animation while the tackle had his back to the line of scrimmage... Also the sideline catches were ridiculous. This game is crying out for momentum.

I could really care less about the small apparel details. The gameplay looks much better and will be much more fun this year.

Wait a minute... I thought Hawaii had the 07 jerseys in the game last year? Because in the ncaa 09 video in the sideline catch part it showed them in the 08 jerseys... I could be wrong and they were actually in their last year though...

That video sparked my interest in the game again. While clearly some things point out to being issues again like OL/DL if the game truly has incompletions that are not just dropped inceptions that is a step forward. If the CPU RB will stay in bounds on runs that is a step forward- wasn't in this video just others.

While i still am on the fence with this game and its pretty sad that so many things are still missing, this is a start. If the gameplay videos show the deep ball from the CPU and not a bunch of CPU QB runs with slow *** people then i might actually get this game. Hopefully, the CPU recruiting is better too.

Overall, solid video in my opinion based on what i expected.

The good: Throw out of sacks, DB/WR interactions.

The bad: OL/DL still suction onto each other immediately; WR slipping animation looks bad. The WR gets back up in 0.3 seconds.

The ugly: Tiny RB trucking the crap out of a giant DL, sideline catches are in violation of Newton's laws of physics.

if Db's play the ball as they do in this promo i am getting this over madden.

everything else i can edit but those bad animations of Db's flying 6ft in the air to stap passes breaks these games.

madden still wont learn this

Its sad that the NCAA team just throws a few animations in and expects us to drool over the screen. Give me some team intros, some formation subs and stop slapping the ESPN logo on the front and not using it. If ur gonna have the ESPN logo then give us some top notch presentation! Your killin me!

Wrap swats are cool. Those are not sideline catches, I don't care what they say..they look terrible.

I was happy with that video. Restores some hope for me. I like the new WR/DB jostling. Last year a WR never got behind a DB unless they were super fast. The over the shoulder grabs look good. As for the pass rush, EA has never done the speed rush with a fast DE well imo. Hopefully it will be good.

I'd love to see a 10 minute gameplay video like Ian showed off for Madden though.

by far the best vid they've given us.. I'm not going to completely **** on this game but those sideline catches are ridiculous.. I hated going out of bounds but I wouldn't exactly say they fixed the problem.. those db swats while tackling the wr's were pretty tight as well as the qb throwing while getting hit

Um no. i stay locked onto the FS until needed otherwise.

I have to agree with this, using the safeties makes it easier to scan the field before and during the play...I never had a pass rush problem, I even use the OLBs in the 4-3 shootin the gaps no problem.
the main problem I have is the suction blocking/tackling, which looks like it hasnt been corrected.
