I know this wouldnt have an effect on the online games, but wouldnt the rosters be correct when the people who do the roster updates for EA locker?

Oh yeah, I have created 13 teams on Teambuilder. BUT I DONT GIVE A DAMN IF THEY HAVE TO DELETE THEM!!!! Just fix the rosters. I can recreate the teams in a snap its no big deal. I just used the generic roster templates for most of them anyway.

Hey guys... so we are aware of the issue with no (or few) freshmen on some teams in TeamBuilder and yes the same issues are found on the NCAA 10 disc. Over the past few days, one of our top priorities has been investigating solutions.

The TeamBuilder teams require some data on the disc to set Depth Charts for every team created before they can be used in a game. For example if you use the Cupcake roster as a starting point, NCAA 10 will give you a default Depth Chart for the Cupcakes for your TeamBuilder team (which you can edit in game). This means any changes we make could cause some problems with teams already created using TeamBuilder. So we need to ensure we are taking to proper steps to correct the issues.

We understand the concerns with how this can affect Dynasty mode and Online Games, so we are working hard to have a solution in place before launch on July 14th.

Anyone notice how he stated this? He said the problem was the few freshman and not incorrect rosters... I just noticed this lol

last year didn't some of the roster makers get the game early so they could have the rosters in the EA locker by the release date? If so will the same happen this year?

That is true because last year PastaPadre was given the game, and rosters from an undisclosed source.. It resulted in probably the biggest F-up this series has seen, close to the uni debacle of 07.

1 of 3 things are going to happen.

1. They end up miraculously fixing the rosters, but nobody gets the game early to get a head start on editing for the community.

2. They don't fix the rosters, but the editors get it early so they can take care of the problem.

3. The world blows up.

Even if someone gets the game now and fixes rosters, this still doesn't fix the base roster for those who don't use names or don't have the internet, and this doesn't fix online rosters which people have to use the defaults of to play. The roster problems SCREW any and every online player.

I'm not an online player, but I feel sorry for anyone who is. I mean these guys sometimes complain about someone being to fast or a team overrated, I can't imagine what some must be thinking with this. I mean 3/4 of the teams probably aren't playable.

Yea. I know that Pasta Padre had them very early. Doubt it will happen this year, but never know. It was really nice picking up the game at midnight, getting home and having a roster immediately.

Anyway, long-time lurker, finally decided to post.

This rosters issue is a real letdown for me right now. I agree with a previous poster that the gameplay should be the most important part, BUT that's a half-assed excuse for the developers IMO. The rosters bring that extra dose of realism to the game. If you order a cheeseburger, but its missing the trimmings and all that, its still a cheesburger, its just not the same.

At any rate, the roster makers are going to have a rough go this year. It's a shame that we're on the 4th game in this generation, yet the developers still manage to find a way to blow some aspect of it.

I really hope it gets fixed or there is a manageable solution within the first month of release.

I'm pretty sure EA hooked up Pasta with the rosters last year in stealth manner so that he would have them on the day of release. I doubt that will happen this year, with all the lawsuits going on.

Indeed. I'd also be surprised if the truth finally doesn't come out during the lawsuit. If Keller's attorneys do their job the evidence that EA actually made named rosters of actual kids names and then gave them to someone to put into their game would be damning evidence.

one of the videos posted has miami with a rt #65, but there's no such player on the tb site and they also dont even have a rt1 on the site, just a rt2. looks to me like there were going to be bugs anyway from tb vs the disc.

Besides graduated players, transferred players, dismissed players, and lack of freshman has anybody seen very unusual ratings?

I don't mean the trivial my 78 ovr SS should be a 88, or this speed should be 97 not 92. Like having a 40 or 50 something overall player on the roster.

I haven't heard NCAA is using the new madden rating system so I was shocked when Notre Dame had like a 43 ovr rated DE. Anybody else seeing crap like that?

well idk if you consider this to be trivial, but Michigan States roster is badly messed up. Especially on defense. Greg Jones, the MLB, is ranked as one of the top ten Big Ten players, and is a 78 overall. Eric Gordon, who is considered to be almost as good, is a 72. Not one of the cornerbacks, who played well last season, are rated above a 75. The starting safeties are both under 65.

The ratings throughout many of rosters apperar to have been designed with no thought or semblance what so ever.
