Re: All team ratings from pasta today on excel...

lol at all the noobs still using ie.
My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10

3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.

How can a team with the #1 offense 2 of the past 3 seasons be rated so poorly on offense. The Saints got screwed on that side of the ball.

Jahri Evans belong in the high-80s and Stinchcomb should be an 80. Reggie Bush has suddenly become a little UNDERRATED as opposed to overrated and there is no way anyone who has watched Reggie Bush play can say he should be rated at a 79. People just look at his rushing numbers and automatically call him a bust. He deserves to be in the 84-85 range.

The Saints offense lead the league in yards and PPG and nothing has changed on it yet this won't be reflected on Madden at all.

If you're stuck at work or can't download the XLS (don't have excel, etc), I posted these to a Google spreadsheet here, that will work natively in browser.

Thanks to PP for posting them.

I think its fair to have promblems with the ratings because rookies are being rated higher than veterans and draft picks from last season. Im looking at the panthers corners and captain munnerlyn is rated higher than corners like wesly than has played for a couple years. Also everette brown (hopefully he is good) but he is a rookie rated rated better than tyler brayton and charles johnson who have NFL experience. I dont know why all the rookies are getting so much love in the ratings

I'm not calling myself a football expert or nothing, but isn't running the ball like, important when you're a running back? As long as he's got decent receiving stats, his rating is appropriate. He's pretty much dead even with Leon Washington if you look at last year's stats. Good returner, average runner, solid receiver. Washington was a better returner and a better rusher and Bush was a slightly better receiver and they both have a 79 rating as a result. I see no problem with it.

I like the Redskins ratings. Even though I think London Fletcher should be higher, but other than that I'm cool with them.

I understand there are going to be complaints about the ratings, that's every year and it's never going to be perfect. Let's wait and see how the new rating system works though. Some guys are low, but with the new system, it may not be as bad as some think.

Re: Madden NFL 10: All Player Ratings Revealed (Pasta Padre)

I've figured out the problem with inconsistent ratings stretching.

Obviously we all see that rookies are immune from the ratings stretch, often being rated higher than starters on their own team, and that some injured players get dropped but others don't (pats players) but....

...I've found that a player signed via free agency or is still a FA also seems to be immune from the ratings stretch:

Edgerrin James- 84 (same as m09) FA

Released because he hasn't be good for a couple of years but he's still higher than any ravens, broncos, lions, raiders, seahawks, 6 points higher than chester taylor, bengals, 1 less than ryan grant, saints, 5 higher than any cardinal (team that released him), patriots, buccs, 1 less than Addai Running back.

Darren Sharper- 87 (same as m09) SAINTS

Not resigned due to ageing, lowered performance and production.
Their was little interest in FA and he signed a very small contract but he's still higher than any SS for them ravens, 48ers, redskins, cowboys, dolphins, Falcons, giants, eagles, browns, jets, lions, raiders, chargers, panthers, seahawks, vikings, rams, bengals, texans, bears, jags, packers, chiefs, bills, pats, buccs.

Chris McAlister- 86 (same as m09) FA

Release by the Ravens, still unsigned due to lack of interest but would still start for the ravens, steelers, 49ers, redskins, broncos, cowboys, dolphins, falcons, giants, titans, browns, jets, lions, raiders, chargers, panthers, seahawks, vikings, rams, bengals, texans, bears, jags, saints, chiefs, bills, cards, pats, buccs, colts.

Matt Birk- 88 (same as m09) RAVENS.

Not resigned the vikings due to ageing and lowered performance but would still start for over 27 teams according to his rating.
                                ----

It's not like these players are Haynesworth and are in high demand, they're either still a FA or signed pretty small contracts.

Im sure there are more but i just wrote down the ones that popped out to me.

This needs to be fixed... i can only assume that due to these players going into FA, donny put them in a different FA folder and so didn't implement the "Rating stretch" to that folder... that or he thinks they're that good.

If any of you find any more... post it.
