    BCS Buster: 2009

Who's it gonna be? If anyone. Will there be more than one? There was almost two last year...

Central Michigan only has one small in conference threat; @Western Michigan. They open the season with two tough away ooc games; @Arizona and @Michigan State. They also play @Boston College. They likely get Ohio in the MAC Championship... My prediction: 10-3 w/ losses to Arizona, Mich St. and BC. No BCS.

East Carolina also has a tough start; @West Virginia and @North Carolina in weeks two and three respectively. They get Virginia Tech @home later in the season and they close out with Southern Miss @home... My prediction: 8-4 w/ losses to WVU, UNC, VT, and Southern Miss. No BCS.

Nevada also has a tough opener @Notre Dame. They get Misouri @home a couple weeks later. They close @Boise St... My prediction: 10-2 w/ losses @ND and @BSU. No BCS.

Southern Miss has a couple tough road games, mid season; @Kansas and @Louisville. They close with a tough game @East Carolina. They likely get Houston in The C-USA Championship... My Prediction: 12-1 w/ a loss @Kansas. No BCS.

TCU opens @Virginia with some more tough games @Clemson, @BYU and Utah @home. My prediction: 11-1 w/ a loss @BYU. No BCS.

Troy will roll through the Sun Belt but has two tough ooc games @Florida and @Arkansas... My prediction: 10-2 w/ losses @UF and @Arkansas. No BCS

Utah has two tough ooc games; @Oregon and Louisville @home. They play both TCU and BYU away this year... My prediction: 9-3 w/ losses @UO, @TCU and @BYU. No BCS.

Western Michigan's only tests come within their state; they open @Michigan. They get Centrall Michigan @home. Then they go to Michigan State... My prediction: 9-3 w/ losses to Mich, C. Mich and MSU. No BCS.

BYU has a tough ooc schedule. If they go undefeated they will play for the National Championship. They have Oklahoma (neutral site) and Florida St @home. They have both Utah and TCU @home. If they're 11-1 going into bowls they could still bust the BCS, maybe even over an undefeated Boise St... My prediction: 11-1 w/ a loss @OU. BCS Buster!

Boise State will have two tough games and they're both @home where they've won 49 straight. They open with Oregon and finish the regular season with Nevada (their official last game is New Mexico State but they might as well start the cheerleaders for that one because NMSU might go 0-12 even with a game with Prairie View A&M)... My prediction 13-0. Imo, whether or not they bust in depends on who wins the PAC 10 because BYU will get the automatic birth because of a higher ranking. If USC wins it then they will let two mid majors in. If not they will have to have USC at large instead. I don't think USC will win the PAC 10 so; BCS Buster!

As long as the ACC and Big East still exist, there will be BCS busters

Central Michigan has one of the top QB's in the nation coming back and a pretty good defense. I'll go with them.

I went with BYU. They will get a lot of hype after they beat OU at Jerry World.

I think it's going to be hard for any MWC team to run the table in that conference. BYU, TCU, and Utah....then Colorado St. and Air Force getting better this year. That'll be a tough feat.

I don't think Boise will win in Ruston this year, so I'm not expecting a BCS buster.

Troy will sweep the Sun Belt, but they usually have a killer OOC schedule.

Because they play in the WAC.

If Baylor played in the WAC they would be a threat too.

This season Baylor would destroy every team in the WAC.

They're still a good team. You could say that a lot of teams would look great in other conferences as well, but the fact remains that Boise St. has been the most consistent, best team out of the WAC for a long time now.

Everyone thought when they played Oklahoma that they were just a fluke team, and even though they won that game with some trickery, it took some major talent to run with the Sooners.

Boise St. is just coached so well that they are always a contender in my book.

But Baylor is actually gonna be pretty good this year. I could see them being 3rd in the south. They wouldn't beat Boise St. or Nevada thought. Maybe beat Fresno St. and LA Tech. They beat everyone else easy.
