    3. This has a direct effect on improving gameplay. Yes, NCAA added WR/DB animations.. But did they actually adjust the code that effects who wins those match ups? Probably not.

that's all great but if it doesn't show up in the game when i play it then it all means nothing. Ian posting here is great, but be smart enough to realize it's part of a marketing strategy to help hype the game. And like i said if you want to buy into that hype and anoint madden before playing go right ahead no one is stopping you. I've just been burnt too many times and will wait until i have my hands on.

no worries at all. anything we post on here is our opinion that's why i hardly ever put imo into my posts. I think it's implied.

trust me i'd love to be as blown away by madden right now as others seem to be, but all i have to go on is what i've seen in the vids and to me it just doesn't look like as big of a step up as i anticipated.

Maybe you should follow your own advice..

        In regards to NCAA:

You yourself have been "anointing" NCAA since the first vids have been posted..you have lost your creditability imo.

How did he lose credibility by looking for the positives in the video?

So if he was a Missouri fan, would you expect him to rail on Chase Daniel for averaging almost 2 picks per game last year? Or would you be ok if (as a fan), he focused more on the 4300 yards and 39 TD's?

          Fire Chase Daniel!!

wrong wrong wrong. those comments don't annoint anything they just tell you that i'm looking forward to playing a football game for the first time in several months. once again i will be playing both and then making an informed decision. not declaring victory for one or the other without hands on time. if that means losing credabiltity with you i couldn't care less.

I think this will be the last video I allow myself to watch. Thanks, Steve, for putting them up. But it's just depressing. It's really sad when a whole team of developers spent a year on this product, and you really have to watch closely to try to pick out any positives. I don't know about you guys, but if I was given a year to take a product and improve it as much as I was capable of doing so, I would want the positives to constantly jump out at the someone viewing my final product.

                - Swivel running looks absolutely bizarre, and anyone that has ever watched football (or any sport with non-linear running) should be turned off by this immediately. The game has no sense of realistic momentum/physics.
                - Defensive line pressure has not improved one single iota. This might be the saddest part of all, since this was the number one thing on everyone's wishlist way back in July (or even sooner, considering the Community Day reports of 09). A forced pocket forming doesn't make much difference considering it's just that, forced, and not based on improved DE AI.
                - Short to medium bullet passes in this game are traveling probably faster than 80 mph. That's ridiculous. The strongest arms in NFL history (like Favre or Elway in their prime) could probably throw the ball between 70-75. And yet here we have average college passers throwing balls (without even stepping into the pass sometimes) that look like MLB fastballs. I mean, seriously, four years into the current generation of consoles, and they can't even properly adjust something as simple as pass speed?

Looks like another year of playing against a lot of 3-3-5 and Quarters "Show Blitz" online, since those defenses screw with the blocking AI and can stop the pass and the run efficiently, while defenses like the 4-3 are pretty much worthless all the way around.

Except you say it will be another year of playing against..........wait what??? Why?? DON'T BUY THIS CRAP!! It will never be fixed if it keeps freaking selling.
