Yep.. if you read my introduction when I first joined the board I was straight up front saying that I'm not here to spin things or try to sell you a game. I don't work in PR, I don't work in marketing. I'm a game designer, and I want to provide answers and insight and collect feedback from the game for how we can make it better for our hardcore gamer audience.

There's no doubt that it feels very similar to last year's NCAA on the field. The default gameplay camera angles are the same, animations are carried out at the same speed and the general ebb and flow on the field is the same that I remember from years gone by. That's certainly not a bad thing, but it's definitely going to feel like familiar territory to series veterans.

I can't disagree with this guy more. NCAA 10 plays nothing like 09. There is no "wide open gameplay," there is a pocket and pressure on the QB, the CPU throws deep, there are incomplete passes that aren't dropped, balls get batted down at the line (to name a few things that are very noticable), and there is a big gameplay feature that we haven't announced yet.

Sheesh.

Looking at all the videos on OS, you can't really blame me, right?

I don't know what to say about this development team or game that hasn't been said. I want to try and have hope that something will change in the future, but with stuff like this I'm convinced that the developers have driven this great series off the tracks into oblivion and are doing it with a Coke and a smile.

I can't be happy or excited about this. I just can't.

I feel lied too as well. I really wish I had set my expectations lower so I could be impressed by this game.

As far as an effective pass rush and effective sliders go....Yes we were lied to. No other way to put it.

I applaud them for having the CPU throw deep, improving pursuit angles, and improving the CPU from going out of bounds.


But this....

They were told over and over and over and over for a full year "Fix the pass rush! Fix the Pass Rush! Fix the Pass rush!"

And they do nothing...nothing.

Say all you want, but we have about 10 videos now SHOWING a complete and total lack of pass rush and very little "true" pocket.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Season showdown gets emphasis over an ESSENTIAL...absolutely CRITICAL...gameplay aspect.

Truly disappointing and quite frankly...infuriating.

You know I was kind of expecting the Default to be screwed up again......but I thought at the least...at the least....They would make some effective Sliders after Last Years Bug-Filled Fiasco

I'm really starting to feel the same way. I have been a staunch optimist, but I just can't keep this up. One of my last hopes is that this is an area that has been tweaked since it's a beta (Adam did say some areas have been tweaked since the demo, even, let alone the beta). However, I'm not exactly holding my breath anymore.

I've bought NCAA since 2000 on the PS1 but agreed, sadly this year will probably stop the streak.

I am usually PRO-EA, especially with MADDen this year. But This is just terrible, they absolutely lied about the pass blocking/ pass rush.

I've been saying it for weeks now, and Im surprised I havent been banned yet because I know Ive crossed the line but I dont care. Im a passionate consumer and gamer and at least want you to keep your word. This is a shame!

Adam said he changed some things so he probably did. If it's your opinion that it looks the same, so be it. Who cares. I don't recall having different strategy options in last year's game. Such as keying in on one WR or being more aggressive on defense.

There are fundemental flaws at the core of the game that prevent a simulation of football. The offensive/defensive line interaction is the weakest part of the game but would require a complete overhaul (Madden hasn't done it right either).

I don't feel lied to because I could see this coming. Ya'' must be gullable or just not paying that much attention to feel that you were lied to. EA has a very different view of what is football, its been apparent for year.s
