    Equipment power boost.

I equipped a pair of socks and a hat that both are supposed to give me a 0.50 power boost, yet when I look at "My Skills" it says I only have a 0.50 power boost, not a 1.00 power boost.

Whats the deal? Am I only allowed to have one power boost item at a time?

    Re: Equipment power boost.

It takes the boost from your highest equiptment....(i.e. both are .5 but it takes the .5) if you had a 1 and a .5 it would give you 1. if you had a 1 and 1 you'd still only get one. It just takes the highest boost.

Oh, that makes sense... I guess.

I wish there was an option to turn that off.

I just want the funky shirts and pants, not the boost.

If you use the powercap feature, you can wear/use all the power boost stuff and it doesn't boost to your power attribute.

Do you have to set the powercapXX every time you play the game or does it save it for you ?

Reset each time, which only takes a moment.

Thanks bigal! Helped me out a lot! I was wasting money buying equipment, thinking I could accumulate boosts. So now I just look for the highest boost on a single item and switch my gear from there. Just to help out a little further, your max skill without boosts is 10.0 (+2.0 with max boost totalling 12.0) for each of the 4 skill lines.

What is this powercap feature that you speak of? I've never seen it.

Go into the EA extras option, choose password, and type "powercap5" or "powercap6" or whatever you want your max power to be.
