Is Madden 10 pretty much done as far as making the game for release date?

I am just wondering because I know Madden 10 is now a little less than 2 months away from release date. We all still have a few things that we hope could get fixed before release date and I remember around E3 Ian said they only have a couple of weeks to get stuff done and finalized.

So my question is, is it about that time for Ian to let us know what is even possible to get fixed or tweaked before release date or is it even that time to let us know? I would like to hear more about the defensive side of the ball on how the 3-4 will be effective or if it is just looked at as 3 lineman down and 4 backers standing up and is utlized the same? I sure hope not.

Do you think the game is pretty much done beside a patch for the game after it is released?

yeah i would say that they are pretty much done by the end of June. After that its gonna be pretty much marketing from July - Release date. But im not an expert on this, thats just my opinion.

For all intents and purposes, yes the game is done.

There may be a minor tweak or two done to alter gameplay issues and results but for the most part the game is complete.

The game was pretty much done in April from what I can tell.

The past few months have been tweaking, bug fixing and ratings.


The E3 stuff was pretty much the final product as we will see it.

Let's just hope the game is far better than '09 rather than a little better.

And I think it will be, the MADDEN team stepped their game up this year, and I think it will be one of the best MADDENs since the game began.

It be nice if Ian would finally address the community's concern, or at least tell us if it's fixable for Madden 10. What, do you think that people are just going to forget about it ?

People harped on the lack of a pass rush too; as a result, the pass rush is better.

You seem to fail to realize, this has been addressed ! So you saying will Ian finally address this, is moot. And people saying it all over the forums is moot.

I have seen many people respond to all these posts, trying to tell everyone "still" talking about running animations ......that it HAS been covered, way before any of you jumped on this bandwagon.

I'm sorry you all were not here, but I am sure that it cannot be fixed to meet all of your needs and wants, seeing that it is like... late June.

Been addressed ! LOL, in case you haven't noticed, everybody hates the running animations. I've been on here since the very first feature(pro-tak) was announced; we've only gotten a proto-type for the new running animations. In that thread most people stated that the legs needed to move faster, and that keller appeared to laboring down the field, not sprinting.

The legs aren't moving any faster in any of the recent videos that have been shown, and everybody hates the running animations. I'd like to know when you consider something as being address or not. When a change is made, and everyone still hates it, the problem has not been addressed.

When a change is made, and everyone still hates it, the problem has not been addressed.

Now that post was started like May 1st....20 pages of good feedback mostly...I think Ian got his general idea of things...(wouldnt you, if you posed that question) read them all again if you must.

But then a month later, someone posts a 2K vid, and says, Hey Look at This..........now everyone is in a new uproar....to me, it seems too late (that was my point)

Most games go gold a month to a month and a half before the release date. So, once it goes gold, the game is the finished product. Basically to answer your question, it's finished, but doesn't mean DLC or updates to it

I am assuming this is the final week for tunning and fixing any last min bugs in the game for them. I could be wrong. But what Ian said back during E3 week that they had only a few weeks left to tune. E3 been a few weeks back. So I am assuming that time is almost up for them to make any last min adjustments.
