Ok, I'm getting rid of my copy of MLB 2k9 for the PC. I COULD just sell it. But really it's only $20 new, and the $10 or so I'd get for it wouldn't be all that interesting anyways.

With the Pirates shipping off McLouth and Nyjer Morgan, I just can't stand anything baseball this year. I'd trade our Super Bowl and our Stanley Cup for one great Pirate season.

Well...I also fibbed a bit about the "FREE" part of MLB2k9. There is something you have to do. Because just "the first person to PM me" wouldn't be all that interesting either. Explain in this thread why YOU above anyone else should get this copy of MLB 2k9. How long the post is, or if it has some sort of picture attached is up to you.

Deadline is is July 15th--the day after the All-Star game--which by the way the Pirates are only sending Freddy Sanchez. I'll flip though the thread and pick someone. Then I'll have them PM me an address to send the game. Although if you're anywhere where I can't just send this via normal US Postal Service, you're paying shipping.

Mods: If there's some inherent problem with this little contest thing, then feel free to just delete this thread.

Okay, the reason I want your game for free is because I rented and played MLB 2K9 when it came out, and I already know it's not worth purchasing.

Jason Bay aside--I can't remember anyone else who panned out in these "trade our best players for OMG GREAT PROSPECTS" deals they always do.

And Jason Bay is kicking ***--in Boston. So it doesn't even matter if any of these boneheads will pan out. If they are good, they will trade them away for MORE cheap prospects.

Hmm...I'll be honest here, I thought there would be some more action in this thread.

Maybe I'll go up to my attic and find something else to toss in. Maybe a Mike Diaz rookie card.
