Anyone miss last gen recruiting?
I sure do. The format was alot better it seemed with the US Map being the primary view so you can see your state and pipelines. It gave me more of a need or feel to recruit in state. I wish they would've carried it over to this gen and added stuff like recruiting hotbeds, a sim'd list of next years top 15 or so players in each state after you finish signing your class.Hotty ToddyTags: None -

Recruiting needs to have a fine balance.
If it is too simplistic, we won't find any depth, if it is too complicated people will find it cumbersome
I like the fact that you can use the filtering criteria to find players that fit your team's mold - but I do agree that getting players from your pipeline states should have some priority.Comment

Re: Anyone miss last gen recruiting?
Also one of the reasons I stayed with PS2. I just liked the simplicity of assigning points to a handful of guys during the year and the slightly more detailed post-season recruiting with the 5 weeks. It obviously wasn't the most realistic but it broke up the seasons nicely.Comment

Liked the old gen, but prefer the new gen recruiting. It's not totally realistic, but I enjoy the complexity of it. Or the attempt at complexity. I don't think it should be too easy or a necessarily quick process. But then again, I also spend the offseasons looking at different recruiting sites and poring over recruit numbers, so I'm a dork that way.I bleed Garnet and Gold. In The 'Slim Reaper' We Trust. Re: Anyone miss last gen recruiting?
Agreed. But then, they would need to implement a recruit assist for all the people who wouldn't want to spend the time going through all that. Although, if you're investing time in a dynasty, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to be totally involved in building up your team/teams. Unless you just don't have the time.I bleed Garnet and Gold. An assist, or even a less involved dynasty mode (much like the one we have now) separate from this hardcore one that is wanted could be an option.Comment

Re: Anyone miss last gen recruiting?
I like next gen because it's more in depth. Time wise old gens but im one of the few willing to take the time to land those big recruits and gems plus taking the time to do so on next gen.Comment

Re: Anyone miss last gen recruiting?
Bringing back the choice of a Season or Dynasty could work as well. Or, as you said something like "Varsity Dynasty"(easy) and "Heisman Dynasty" (in-depth) could work. I don't know how much space that would take. Maybe switch RTG back to full control and add the easy recruiting to that.I bleed Garnet and Gold. In The 'Slim Reaper' We Trust. Go Noles!Comment

I like the system right now. I'm eager to see how recruiting against schools works. Hopefully there are no exploits this year.Comment

Re: Anyone miss last gen recruiting?
I'm interested in recruiting against as well. But this will add even more time to recruiting. I would like to see a "rexcruiting director" in the game so you can determine what recruiting you will do and what trecruiting the cpu will do for you.
