Top Five Teams in EA Sports NCAA Football History

As NCAA Football 10’s release date rapidly approaches, I could think of no better way to pass the time than to rank the five most dominant teams in NCAA Football history. Since the NCAA Football series dates back to Bill Walsh College Football, compiling a top-five list was no easy task. In the end, only the most dominant programs survived, and with no BCS computer to bail them out, four teams had to go home empty handed.

Great article, I have a hard time arguing with your picks. As a Husker fan, I can remember the pain of getting beat by Oklahoma with their high powered offenses.

Nebraska teams were never as good in video games because they didn't have a passing attack, now they are much more balanced.

The husker teams with Tommie Frazier and than later with Eric Crouch were unstoppable. The option was the main attack on the earlier games and those two teams were the best at it. They have to be up there

Yes! Those two Miami teams are the best teams ever in the College Football series. I was able to take down the 2003 squad more than once on heisman. But, I actually lost in a game where a reciever caught a diving touchdown pass that bounced of off a pylon!

Being a Gator fan those Miami teams, FSU, and that Tennessee team gave me hell.

Florida Gators on NCAA 97 had one of the most potent passing attacks the game has ever seen. Wuerffel to Hilliard, Anthony, Jacquez Green, Travis McGriff. A three headed monster at RB with Fred Taylor, Terry Jackson, and Elijah Williams. Their defense also had 3 beast at LB with J.Kearse, J***tledge, and Mike Peterson. Lawrence Wright was a lethal college safety. Along with Anthone Lott, Shea Showers and Fred Weary to round out a secondary that would grab so many picks.
