I loved that animation...we need more animations like that..they need to do one thats almost exactly the same except he manages to stay on his feet. I think one probably madden has(maybe use to have) was learning exactly how an animation would play out...They need to come up with a couple ways that each broken tackle/tackle can turn out.
Yeah we definitely need more of them.
That was probably the best trailer I've seen for this game so far.
Haven't watched this vid yet but here is another vid to watch - http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/14270630/madden-nfl-2010/videos/madden10_trl_producervideo_71009.html
thesteamontheboat, - Great catch. I went back and noticed the Ravens players in front of the browns bench. Funny thing is how in Madden 09, there were actually players from the opposing team on the same benches. Maybe this is a carry over, of sorts.
Vid looks good. I absolutely LOVE the over the shoulder catches. Been playing the NCAA 10 demo over and over and I've had several over the shoulder catches and the the broken tackle just to lose my balance and fall a yard or two later. That's another great animation and like someone said, I hope they have the animation where u don't actually fall, maybe putting hand down to help regain balance or just out right regaining balance. Haven't seen that in the NCAA 10 demo, yet, but doesn't mean it's not there nor that it's not in Madden 10.
Madden 10 should be the ****, period. Can't wait for the demo.
Nice, I really liked this video. I thought it was second to the NFC East video - probably only because my favorite team is the Redskins.
Can't wait for August 14th!
http://beta.easports.com/media/play/feature-video/MaddenSB - Another new Madden 10 vid but you have to login to EA's site to get the vid and not just audio.
Again this is where Tiburon lacks in having a good library of animations implemented into the game. There just isn't enough variety or fluidity for Madden to ever look the part.
That's how I've felt in one way or another about all the hype vids - the movement is just too unnatural and doesn't flow at all. At least it seems to look better from the gameplay angle, and there seems to be a lot of variety to the cutscenes. But the angled jog/run, the having to wait until you're right up on someone to effectively juke, the way the contact transitions are so jarring/different - the biggest positive is that there are NFL teams/colors/players. Take that away, and I don't think it'd look like it was much fun. That's another disappointing thing - for them to have the NFL players, they really seem to lack any distinction. I can get Holmes and Cribbs being similar. But Le'Ron McCLain seems to move just like McGahee, who moves just like Portis, etc.
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period
