it's not about how many whites or blacks go to the school at this time nit wit, it's about the schools that help to make a change in something that was wrong. it has nothing to do with what's going on today. it's merely called that because of the schools role in the college education system. the school could only have white students and it would be still called HBCU. BECAUSE OF IT'S HISTORY

and one more thing if you called a school HW wouldn't that carry negativity to a school's image, they wouldn't draw in the students that they draw and they would lose money, think about it, that's like sayin yeah we are historically white . why ? because we didn't let blacks in our school. ask a HBCU the same question about there name. the answer you would get would be...... we wanted to give blacks a chance to get a good education because white schools wouldn't let them in because of the color of their skin . if you can't understand that then your brain is the size of a peanut. im done posting .

authentic, an example of an HBCU that has a lot of white students is West Virginia State. It's 90% white and they still participate in certain classic games that HBCUs play in. I just figured I'd lend a hand an give you an example of a school that's almost all white. Good posts by you though!

A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. It's just a game, people. All they devs did was try to include the pagentry that is traditionally included in the SWAC,MEAC, and CIAA games and include teams that weren't on other titles. So what about the name? They've been called historically Black colleges forever. Before this game came out. Why argue about something that's a hundred years old? Rasicm is disease that will never be cured because there is always someone willing to participate in it. I am just happy that there is another college football title that I can play.

Look guys Pike (The Bill O'Reilly of Os)just wants attention, we have given him opportunities to read the article listen to people who have attended HBCU's and read other articles, if he chooses to argue for the sake of argueing lets just ignore him. Nobody is attacking the African-American race from what I read or from what I wrote but yet I get an infraction for giving my opinion. I am no racist but I do agree with pike that you should of known this would come about.

A made up SN for a message board and a improper way of spelling a word for on a video game cover is two different things, sorry.

^^^ You do realize that this is done ALL THE TIME? It's done to be hip.

                        XFL?

                        Special FX?

                        Xtra?

It's all common usage, has been done for years, and it's accepted an understood as a different way of spelling it.

You're just looking for something to attack

The AWCFL is recruiting PS3 Coaches.

The AWCFL (All White College Football League) is now recruiting coaches that can participate in a multi-year online Dynasty for College Football 2010.

The AWCFL is committed to providing excellence in your Online Expeirience. We will have a rigid rule set that will ensure you have a great time. The league is looking for sim players only.

Please don't allow your ignorance to misunderstand the context in which this league is being formed, it's not a racist league, I just prefer to glorify a "White" coaches accomplishments moreso than other races. Thank you for understanding.

Also, be aware that the coaches that do apply must be in possession of certain equipment. Here at AWCFL we are interested in providing the highest quality league on the internet. This is why we will require all coaches to have video capturing equipment so that we can capture the pageantry and magic of these "White" players, and coaches. These captured videos will, in turn, be posted on our exclusive website here at AWCFL, for highlight reels and plays of the week etc.

More rules will be posted as more coaches sign up for the AWCFL.

I could go on with this stuff, but I won't. I hope, I made my point, and I hope people understand.

First off, I love America. It is the greatest country in the world. End of Story.

I love college football, I love everything about it. I love being able to go to the game on saturday, and literally inhale the atmosphere around it. Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is just intoxicating. I love to watch these athletes do what I have never been able to do in my life, and that is perform and master this game I love, and if we are lucky enough to see them compete in the ultimate bowl game, it is beyond words.

When I am not able to attend a game, I am always tuned in whenever there is a game on, and I"m very thankful that we are fortunate enough to do that. I can't say enough about it. You get the point.

Having said that, Nowhere in my love for the game of College football did i mention race. Nowhere. It doesn't have a place in the grand scheme of things. It don't belong in conversation when you describe to your friends how great a particular athlete's play was. It merely needs to be the accomplishment itself. Otherwise it cheapens it. These guys are great athletes because they have worked hard to get to this point, not because of their race. When the emphasis is placed on a particular race, it undermines everything that this country (and game) could be. It stands in the way of what we could accomplish if race were'nt a factor.

I'm not naive enough to believe that race is not a factor. I'm also not one who will cheapen a persons accomplishments by Saying wow that was a great play "By a black or white player", or "Wow, those black / white players played a good game" NO, NO NO... If you, as the individual, want to secretly admire someoene for their accomplishments because of their race, do so silently, as I, and others, want no part of it. If I want to attend a game locally and the fans, and all the players just happen to be all black, so what, I can see that, I don't care. I also don't need anyone pointing it out for me. I"m attending the game for the athletic competition, and not the political ramifications that may surround it.

As frustrated as i get sometimes, I still love people. Black, white, orange, green, I don't care. As long as people do the right thing morally for the right reason, i'll be happy. Oh, and don't cheapen my happiness by subjecting me to something that SOOOO cheapens the game and everything America and the game of College football has accomplished. It is a fun game.

By the way, there is No AWCFL. Peace, I love u all

I'm sorry, but I've not posted anything here that makes me 'what is wrong with the world'. Nothing I have said is racist, disrepectful, or bigoted. I stated an opinion, that at its heart is simple. You disagree? Fine. But stop making it out like I'm Dr. Evil because of it.

What is wrong with the world is that folks can no longer have an opinion that the majority doesn't agree with without being blasted for it, even here on a game forum.

A guy like rockchisler, in this thread, has called people inbred and uneducated and no one says anything. I put out a sincere opinion that is not at all hateful---and folks want to pile on me? That's not right.

First off, none of this would be happening if EA didn't take out FCS football. Second, how did a subject like a videogame make you go off on a rant about the double standards in this country about race? That right there tells me where your agenda is. You were salivating to get your chops into what this thread has become. You wanted this. You couldn't care less about the damn game. That is why you getting piled on. And your defense is to play the victim role.

You and your little buddies made your points loud and clear. You got your opinion out. Yet, you and the same other people keep coming back. And I am highly surprised and somewhat upset that this thread continues on with the same people with the same ignorant thoughts. I lost some respect for OS.

EDIT: MLK didn't die for people of color so they live better today. MLK was killed in cold blood. His death didn't cause the ground to shake and all of sudden, everyone was in harmony.

Also, the all-white college strawman is tired. It makes no sense whatsoever. Whites were never excluded from any and all schools in America.

Plain and simple, you have a beef with HBCUs or the makers of this game...take it up with them. Write a letter. E-mail them. Meanwhile, this thread deals with the videogame. Let's keep it on that topic instead of this agenda-driven mess.
