Dropped passes annoying anyone?
I'm all for pass breakups, batted balls, and some drops... but so far in 6 online games i have had AT LEAST 1-2 wide open touchdown passes dropped. With no defender in sight.... i know it happens in real life, but i swear not this often.

Re: Dropped passes annoying anyone?
If true - it's pure laziness...rather than actually make the CIT actually mean anything they just increase the drops across the board.
A horrible "fix" for trying to slow down the "Robo QB".
If they could just increase the drop % when a receiver is being double teamed or gets hit or is crossing the middle about to get hit then everyone would be ok with that.
But to set up a play perfectly and have it wide open only to have the receiver drop it is an absolute buzz kill!!! Yes, it happens IRL but c'mon...not very often with good players.Last edited by AbsoluteFury; 07-14-2009, 09:49 PM. -

User catch it. It increases catching percentage exponentially.
And if your dudes wide open. Then it should not be too hard at all.Comment

Re: Dropped passes annoying anyone?
I've seen some drops but not too many so it's not annoying me. I'll bet it's not annoying to anyone when it's the other guy that drops the wide open TD passesStreaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Dropped passes annoying anyone?
the only time i seen drops was when I had the Catching strategy set to aggressive. The negative on that strategy clearly states possibility of more drops
You may want to check that, other than that game I haven't seen an excessive amount of dropsComment

Re: Dropped passes annoying anyone?
That too. I keep my setting at Conservative, which makes drops even less likely to happen. This game planning feature has a pretty big impact on the gameplay. I like it.Comment

it's annoying yes but not a problem. It just makes you set to conservative.Comment

Re: Dropped passes annoying anyone?
While playing online last night, I set up a play (100% setup) and had my HB (Mark Ingram) streak down the side line wide open. The closest defender was at least 10 yards away. I throw him the ball and it drops right through his fingers.
Was I disappointed. Of course.
But, am I going to complain about it? No.
Because it happens in "REAL LIFE".
People yell and scream, asking for realism (aka SIM football) but when something get's too real, what do they do?? Complain about it. Oh well, as is life.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
