I used to get it a lot with NCAA. Unfortunately XBOX took away the test to see if your NAT is Open, Moderate or Strict, but if you can either:

      1. Connect your XBOX directly to your internet line from the modem.
      2. If you're using a router, go into it's management settings on your computer and either put your XBOX in your DMZ, or at least open the ports listed here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874

      See if that helps.

How do I put it in DMZ? I found that confusing lol.

Google "(Your brand of router) XBOX open NAT"

You should be able to find information on opening up the correct ports or putting it in a DMZ.

Just breifly though: Your router blocks traffic that might be bad on certain ports by default. Your router's DMZ (Demilitarized zone) is a place on your network that has no port protections and lets all connections through, which is ok for an xbox.

Why did Xbox take the test away?

I also got disconnected in my first online game in the 4th quarter, it was like 27-22 in favor of my opponent and I had the ball.

I have hooked my modem directly to the xbox and had the same result...

3 losses so far and I have not lost a single game. this is frustrating

I tried playing someone last night and we couldn't get it to work in the created room, but we switched to the East section and it was fine. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything really, just a thought.

Thanks for posting this Blazer. I will def try this when I get home today. I wonder if that will make my online games lag a little less.
