Re: NCAA Football 10 Patch Released For PS3
I am gonna ask a really stupid question, but I feel like it must be asked: are we sure the 360 patch is going to be every bit as effective as the PS3 patch? I have both systems and I went with the 360 version because I like that controller better. I know that normally the system wouldn't matter in a patch, but we are talking NCAA Football here.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines
MLB: St. Louis Cardinals
NHL: St. Louis Blues
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
EPL: Liverpool RedsComment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Patch Released For PS3
Finally! After about 100 download attempts i got it and after 1 quarter of my game, I am noticing a huge, huge difference with sliders. I can finally run the ball a little and am seeing more lanes to throw. this makes the game 100x better and now all we need are rosters and i can begin dynasty mode...Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Patch Released For PS3
I just got my rear end handed to me and it was easily the most exciting game of NCAA I've ever had. First let me start with my sliders I was on All American 8 min qtrs with chew clock on the entire game btw.
Hum/CPU
QB ACC: 40/40
Pass BLK: 50/10
WR CTCH- 35/45
RB ABL: 50/80
Run BLK: 50/50
Pass CVG: 75/65
Pass RSH: 100/50
INT: 10/0
Rush DEF: 45/70
TKL: 50/55
FG PWR: 40/40
FG ACC: 30/50
Punt PWR: 45/45
Punt ACC: 50/50
Kickoff PWR: 50/50
Penalty sliders all on default till I experiment with them some more.
Teams were Kentucky(me) at USC(CPU) I chose USC to do a test of a not so great vs elite school because i know their personnel (as they are my college team) and also their play style. The results were fascinating as I could not move the ball against the juggernaut SC defense and my defense couldn't get off the field many times. So heres a rundown of the games stats.
UK-Stat-USC
6 - First Downs - 15
278 - Total Offense - 563
37 - Rush Attempts - 24
43 - Rush Yards- 264
0 - Rush TD's- 3
11 - Pass Completions - 19
37 - Pass Attempts - 36
0 - Pass TD's - 2
235 - Passing Yards - 299
3/19 - 3rd Down Conv - 9/13
2/4 - 4th Down Conv - 2/2
0% - Red Zone % - 100% (2TD's and one FG)
3 (2 fumbles one int) - Turnovers - 2 (1 int 1 fumble)
0 - Def TD's - 1
3 - Sacks 7
7 - PR Yards - 42
104 - KR Yards - 95
20:17 - TOP - 17:36
Thoughts on the game: The USC defense is just plain nasty with the new sliders. Taylor Mays was everywhere causing all three of my turnovers including a bone jarring hit that left my WR with a broken collarbone and a trip to the hospital lol. Mays statline (13tkls, 1 int, 3 deflections and 2 forced fumbles) however he was also responsible for plenty of my wide out's drops as he punished receivers going over the middle. The USC offense lead by their running game was absolutely deadly gouging my defense over and over again. Stefon Johnson was especially dangerous as he broke several tackles throughout the game leading to much bigger runs. My offense on the other hand was helpless, the UK rb's couldn't get more then a yard or two beyond the line of scrimmage most times and the wide outs developed a case of alligator arms after seeing Mays staring them down (the USC wideouts also had drops but not nearly as much as my poor UK squad). Also USC caused me to miss two FG's as their dominant front line bullrushed my poor blockers and got their hands up to deflect two of my 3 fg attempts. Every time i dropped back into the pocket i felt heat on me causing plenty of over and under throws as well. I was completely over matched the entire game and it showed as the mighty Trojans walked away with an easy 45-3 victory!!!
I know I'm not the first and hopefully won't be the last to say this but the NCAA team deserves a huge round of applause for their efforts this year despite the sliders being broken out of the box they got them fixed in an extremely timely manner and once we get rosters to go with the amazing sliders this will easily be the best football game I've ever played. Thank you EA Sports and the NCAA development team!!!!Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Patch Released For PS3
I was worried about this myself. However, earlier today or last night Adam (dev team) said that they were exactly the same. I hope that's what we get on 360I am gonna ask a really stupid question, but I feel like it must be asked: are we sure the 360 patch is going to be every bit as effective as the PS3 patch? Re: NCAA Football 10 Patch Released For PS3
Why are all my 360 fellow gamers all worked up about this?! The patch has to be approved by microsoft, and it will be out shortly. The patch will be the same for both systems, and the friggen named rosters aren't even out yet, so chill out! Good lord, relax.
More people on live, and larger install base=hardcore base/better competition! I have no idea why you'd go with the ps3 version if you have both systems just because the patch will be out a day or two after the ps3 version?!?!?!?!Last edited by willyburz; 07-16-2009, 09:28 PM.Comment
