NCAA 10 Commentary (sticky requested)

I think we really need a thread devoted to what has to be the second worst commentary I've ever heard in a sports game (NBA 2k9 being the bottom).

Kirk: "So they pick up some yards on the pass play."
Lee: "Yeah it was."
Umm, Lee, put down the gin and work on your lines.

Kirk: "Great play to get a hand on the football by the defense."
Kirk, I know you're a former college football player so stringing together coherent sentences isn't your thing, but it's called subject-verb agreement, look into it - or at least hire someone to look into it.

Brad: "They should just squib it here."
Fine Brad, but it would help if the game... ACTUALLY HAD A SQUIB KICK! Geezus EA you can put in Road to Season Showdown but you can't put in a squib kick? And we know they're in the red zone you don't have to remind us 3 times per drive.

Brad: "And that was a great defensive play."
Kirk: "Yeah that's because he was in great position to make the play."
Wow Kirk, that killer insight is why we pay you the big bucks.

But I believe there's worse out there - NCAA 10 is still pathetic though.

Exacerbating the many issues with the content of the commentary is the fact that the things said by the commentary team in this game are the exact same recorded lines that we've had to live with for the past 4 years! I hate playing a brand new game I just bought and already having all of the audio memorized because I've been hearing it for half of a decade already. Come on, EA, is it really that hard to get these guys in for a new recording session at least every time we have a presidential election?

On a 3 yard run play(i remember this from a game a while ago so its not exactly what he said but its the gist of it)
Brad: "That play was stopped for nothing"
two seconds later...
Brad: "And they pick up 3 yards on the play"
how is 3 yards the same as nothing?

Because the flag that triggers that line is based on yards gained. Short yardage is defined as 0-3 yards.

Agreed, Hammond doesn't even sound like he's TRYING to care, LOL. Why not just listen to MLB 09 The Show and rip off how they do it? It's not 100% perfect, but it is very seamless, believable and well done.

Can't resist jumping on top of the pile: Hammond is utter garbage. The entire Madden team should be ashamed of how awful he sounds. Nessler is God compared to that crap.
