In my opinion...Tiger Woods 10 is the best out there

I bought NCAA 10, Fight Night Round 4 and I am anxiously awaiting the release of Madden 10....but in my opinion Tiger Woods 10 is by FAR the most fun sports game out right now. The ONLY thing I have against TW10 is the fact that to download a new course it costs $7.50, that's crazy.

There is just so many different things to do on TW10, so many different game modes. Me and my friends play TW10 almost every night on Tour Pro and I think that's what online gaming is about...

I guess the reason why I posted this is because I don't understand why it isn't getting anymore love than what it is...Tiger Woods 10 is an amazing game.

TW 10 has gotten a huge amount of positive feedback around here. There are issues with Career mode that many have pointed out, but other than that and complaints about locked content, all very positive as I said.

Cool...while that may be true, there are only usually 3 people at a time in the "golf" forum at OS. There just doesn't seem to be a "buzz" about the game like there is for football/basketball/baseball games.

There was a ton of buzz when it came out. Things have died down since then. Plus I'd say golf gamers keep to themselves more, the way golfers in real life do.

Tiger Woods 10 is an amazing game.

I agree there are aspects that are pretty amazing. I'm really impressed with the club tuner for example. One of the best features ever in a golf game, or in any video sports game, period.

Nice! It just seems like it's more fair and balanced in terms of gameplay. Me and a friend can play one day and be neck and neck up to the 18th hole, and then on some days I'll beat him by 5 or 6 strokes...then the next round he'll do the same to me.

I think Tiger Woods 10 is what an online game should be like. With the exception of the ridiculous scores posted for 18 holes of golf, its pretty much perfect in my opinion. There are just so many cool thing you can do online. You don't have to hear 14 year old gangsta wannabes rapping and talk shiiii all day, you can still compete without the garbage...however, if you want to compete against that 15 year old you can do that too.

I appreciate all of your input...Like I mentioned, it always seems like this forum is dead, and this is an amazing game so it's kinda weird to not hear any real buzz you you do with NCAA/Madden. I love football, I had NCAA a week early this year...but I just keep going back to TW because it's just so much fun.

yes its absolutely amazing.... if you believe that the scoring average for the pga tour is 57.4 per 18 holes... in the games defense its presentation is nice.. but as far as any "realism" it is trash... i just lost the final challenge on torrey pines to a tiger woods that shot 15 under to beat a 14 under rocco mediate.. i just happened to watch that play off... i seem to remember the torrey pines scoring record held intack at the end of the day.. a far cry from what i have seen in this game.

sorry to have to be the negative one here... but after about 30 tries to beat this challenge and seeing tiger routinely shoot scores in the 50's i gotta call a spade a spade...

I agree with you on this. I got NCAA a week early and finally got the first version of rosters; however, I keep coming back to TW. I really like the challenge and enjoy the online play. I got my 10 year old daughter playing and we are battling it out. The courses look absolutely beautiful this year.

Tiger 10 is the most fun I've had with a sports game since Madden 04 on the PS2.

I am playing it a ton. Having a lot of fun with it.

The crazy scores online and the unrealistic CPU scores bring it down a peg. The live tournaments comparing scores against friends is the only way to get realistic competition on tour pro.

TW10 and FN4 finally live up to the hype and made gaming this summer a blast.

Bethpage, Torrey Pines, Oakmont, Hazeltine and Turnbury back this year...beautiful. Now if they could have just included Bandon Dunes and Wolf Creek.

Drop down in difficulty until you can beat the challenge. I played this challenge and some of the more difficult ones in Amateur just so I could get through the challenges and move on.....

I hear what you are saying and even as much as I love this game I have to agree....however, my response is WHO CARES? Are the scores ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, yes, they are crazy! With that being said, I'm not going to let that stop me from enjoying the game.

I think we are all focused so much on realism that we forget that we are supposed to have FUN playing the game. I can point out something ridiculous in every single sports game out there. At some point though, EA had to decide when something stops being fun and begins being a pain...Okay, so maybe they do lower the score, maybe they put a cap on the distance that you can hit the ball...but then the game is directed to a very specific type of person, someone who is so competitive that they don't care about having fun, only a challenge. Thats okay...I am like that to a certain degree, but I can overlook some things if they are both competitive and fun.

I'll give you an example...the Madden Franchise has completely lost all love from me, I just stopped finding it fun and I think it's exactly because of trying to make the game too realistic. There are sacrifices that must be made to become ultra realistic, and most of the time they come at the expense of the the gameplay. Madden's gameplay has just hit the tank with me. I hope this years is better, but I just don't think EA has much of a sense of where they want to take the franchise in terms of development. people want it to be realistic, but the more they have tried they worse the game has become.....

Just make things fun and people will play it...but there is a line to the realism. If I want Tiger to be realistic....my created guy would be hitting the ball 250 yards with a severe slice and couldn't putt to save his life....why would I want to play that?

That's my attitude. I understand the complaints. But I never worry about beating the CPU in these sports games. In my last baseball game I had a winning percentage of 32%, lol. And in all these years, I've never won a season championship in any sport, with the exception of winning the overall championship in a video golf game back in 1997. But that was it. I don't care. I just play to have a good time.
