How to stop the Triple Option
Does anyone have any tips for me on how to stop the triple option in the the flex formation. It is the offense that Georgia Tech runs in real life. My buddy DirtySouth12 thinks he is UNSTOPPABLE running the option, but I told him it can be stopped, just not by ME. Someone should challenge him and whoop that A$$ for me so he runs something other than the TRIPLE OPTION. What defensive playcalls are the best to stop it? He knows what he is doing when he runs it so I feel pretty much helpless in trying to stop it.Tags: None -
Re: How to stop the Triple Option
technically its really not cheese, there are teams that run the option 70% of the time. maybe more if you count option passes, and the fullback dives that didnt have time to look like an option.Comment

Re: How to stop the Triple Option
I agree that teams use it in real life I am not doubting that. DirtySouth12 runs the option atleast 85% of the game under that wishbone or whatever it is that Georgia Tech uses. It doesnt matter what defense I call against it he gets either 5 yards up the middle with the fullback or a good chunk of yards when he pitches it to his RB. I am almost to the point of not playing him anymore because its damn near impossible to stop if your opponent knows how to run it. Someone needs to send a friends request to DirtySouth12 and bust his A$$~Comment

Blitz A gap, because when the center blocks down there is always a gap there. It's so easy to stop."Okay, here's the story. I come from the gutter. I know that. I got no education... but that's okay. I know the street, and I'm making all the right connections. With the right woman, there's no stopping me. I could go right to the top."

Re: How to stop the Triple Option
lol @ this guy.....funny...
I use GT's playbook, and run the flexbone. To the other user all formations look the same but they are actually totally different.
The last time we played I only had 194 rushing yards on 32 attempts. I was 9-15 with 280 yards passing!!!Comment

Re: How to stop the Triple Option
What do you mean by Blitz A Gap. Which defensive formation is that under? Is there any one defensive playbook that works the best against the Flexbone Option garbage? If so, that information could be very useful!
Has anyone busted DirtySouth12 yet? SOmeone needs to send him a friends request and wax his A$$ all over Charlotte, NC!Comment

Re: How to stop the Triple Option
Yes sir of course I know how to use pre-snap defensive keys. Its damn near impossible to stop DirtySouth12. The dude plays college football so he knows how to run the option to perfection. I can only somewhat slow it down, I cant really contain it. You should try playing him and then you will know what is up....Comment
