HAMELS, POWER TOO MUCH FOR PADRES
SAN DIEGO,CA - The Padres were no match for the San Diego native Cole Hamels. Hamels cruised through 8 innings of work allowing 0 Runs on 6 hits, 2 of which came in the 9th before being pulled for Closer Brad Lidge, who picked up his 15th save on the season. The Phillies offensive contribution came from a solo HR by Raul Ibanez and later a 3 Run shot off the bat of Lead off man Jimmy Rollins.
