Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Nifty menus. Especially liked the fans holding up the press start sign. I only have the one minute demo so it's kind of hard to get a real feel for the gameplay. Turning animations don't look as robotic as in some of the videos, maybe it's my imagination. Game looks great, jaggies are the only real visual flaw. Really hope there's a PC version next year, this at insanely high resolutions with AA would look incredible. Running game feels good, I haven't run much because of the short quarters though. I did see one big 8 man pile that got blown dead. Cool to see.
On All-Madden I'm having a really hard time with passing. The overthrows just seem overdone at this point, and after five games it seems like more passes than not go flying five yards over the receiver. I really don't feel like I can complete a pass to anything but a wide open receiver, fitting the ball into tight spaces feels impossible.
Pass rush feels inconsistent. I can get some pressure if I take control of a DE myself, but if I leave it up to the CPU they get nothing. On offense the CPU dl comes through completely clean far too much. I really don't like the analog DL moves.
I had one opportunity to return a FG, but when my guy caught it he immediately kneeled down before I could even take control of him. I haven't had another chance to try it so i don't know if this is a one time thing or not.Last edited by JBucc; 07-23-2009, 11:28 AM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
I played both demos and they are sick!!!
I honestly can't believe they called a late hit on me 2wice!!!
Also Kurt Warner drove up the field within 2 minutes on me...Fitz is a freakin monster.
The only thing I may get tired of is the red circle indicating where the ball is goin.
And I have to get used to the playcalling screen ( I keep pressing B for the Y play for some reason). But I love the game!Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
My 360 code worked.
IMO M10 is far from impressive. Their are a few animation/physic upgrades and the player models are slimmer than 09, but other than that, it is typical Madden gameplay. Graphics are ok, but not eye popping. The players (just like NCAA) seem to small in relationship to the field. The slowed down game speed is nice and helps seeing the animation clearly.
I am sure the promises for M11 will be coming shortly, but this is weak approach/effort. But, as normal I will buy the game to play in leagues against friends and force myself to get some enjoyment out of it. This exclusive lic. crap is really stumping the growth of virtual football gaming.Comment

Check out my little video using my G1 phone.
Eli Manning has his throw motion dead on.
I will post more videos from both demos.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Just finished my second game. Won 16-10 with the Steelers. Was 16-3 but they scored with 15 seconds to play. My D was dominant. They were all over the place in pass coverage, I saw a lot of big hits out of Polamalu, and I didn't see as many missed tackles as I did when I played with the Cardinals. Again though, I really didn't get much of a pass rush. I think I heard that the pass rush improvements that Ian told us about aren't going to be seen in the demo so I'm not ready to panic yet.
On offense I loved playing with Roethlisberger. He's much more my style than Warner. Warner is completely immobile whereas Ben give you an opportunity to extend the play by scrambling. I noticed the difference between Wells and Parker also. With Wells I felt obligated to try and bowl people over, whereas with Parker I felt like I could get to the corner, juke, and spin around people. I had a big game with Willie.
If I had to describe the game in one word: Love.Comment

Okay, I don't know what demo you played, but to say this game is the same ol Madden and a weak effort is just BS. I am no Madden apologist by any stretch, but come on man.My 360 code worked.
