I like it more and more each demo i play....but i agree with what the others are saying.

The 1 minute demo seems much more polished than the gamestop exclusive.

I'm shocked some people are whining about it being too slow. It's apart of sim football. If you don't like this speed, then you don't like sim simple as that.

I'm glad it's there because it's realistic and I'm happy that it's going to be default online. It's going to be a BLAST owning cheesers because they're not going to be able to do jack crap with the game speed like it is and the mandatory QB drop.

How are they gonna get pressure from that Defense? Only 3 guys rushed the QB. Not two many tweak's will help that. Looks like the person who made that is playing in the Madden challenge BS. That video was a joke

Oh yea probably playing on the rookie difficulty setting

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here

Well, while my PS3 "cools off" after only having it on for about 15-20 min and then the thing shutdown on my in the middle of the demo (I believe this Madden 10 demo broke my ish!), here are my impressions (I played three games earlier today) This is from my All Pro gaming playing as the Cards:

                Graphics -
                • Nicer than last year's Madden.
                • Seems like they bumped up the res to 1080i.
                • Crowds look MUCH better, now.
                • Can't wait til they get the hair physics improved for longer haired players. It's ok, for now.

                Presentation
                - Tight. No complaints.

Gameplay - I know this is a demo so these issues should hopefully be moot by the time the retail version releases, or, at the very least, a patch is released

                • Suction blocking is still there. Seems like I just can't get away from an offensive lineman without doing HELLA work. Lol.
                • Missed blocks are alive and kicking. Simple, straight up blocks my O-line seems to miss, A LOT. I know the Steelers are good on D but damn!!!
                • CBs and such are sometimes in a fog and just watch passes get complete
                • Demo is TOO slow, for me, but I was getting used to it before my PS3 went on me. Used to Madden 09 and NCAA 10's speed but I know Madden 10 will have the speed sliders come release.
                • Otherwise, it's Madden's "patented" gameplay. Good stuff.

                Animations
                • GREAT stuff and even some extra new ones that are not in NCAA 10.
                • Run animations look great even in replays, FINALLY. Looks like they lengthened the run animations.
                • Protak looks ok. Jury still out on that although I did see my teammate try to help push the pile forward when I was being tackled by 2 players. NICE!
                • Suction tackling - Not good but it's Madden. I'm used to it.

Playbooks - GREAT stuff in there. New plays and all. Woot!

That's just a quick, brief run down. Now I wanna go chase this "Live 10 vid" that mysteriously got pulled from Youtube since I cannot play the Madden 10 demo, thanks to my PS3 shutting down on me. Hopefully, it just needs to cool off.
Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....

Agreed. D was rushing 3 and that was no rocket catch IMO. That was Fitz wide open jumping for the ball.

I'm not worried about the RC just yet. If we can still RC and triple coverage thats when I'll pull me hair out.

Very far from the truth. I like sim and only sim. This is just a hair too slow. It may only need a one level bump up and I'll be happy.

Now, if we were talking about '09 or '08 and I was saying it was "too slow" then you could call me looney and arcade-boy.

Almost rag doll physics here. I jacked Romo with Tuck right after he blitzed - he folded around the hit like, well, a rag doll. Very fluid fall to the turf - lots of that. Also timed a great hit mid-jump and flipped Williams on the back of his head - got up slow shakin his head and without the ball. The replays look sick. By the way, thank you Ian or EA for including replays on the demo- gives you a great chance to see the changes.
This is going to be just awesome in full edition.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here

                              This game is great.

Passing lofted passes are a problem for me though. Although they aren't technically "moon" balls, with the pass speed decrease, it kinda canceled out the fact that they lowered the angle. If I lob it then it still is too high. I don't want lob passes to be drastically slower passes, I want them to go just a little bit slower than bullets but higher up. Next year they need to add IMO a passing power meter. Like the shot power meter in FIFA, a passing power meter along with precision passing would let you put the ball anywhere at any speed. That would lead to many inaccurate passes by itself because it is difficult, as in real life, to gauge how much velocity and how much loft a QB should put on passes. That would help a lot.

The running game is great, although I have always been a good runner in Madden , and with the slow speeds it's great to finally be able to pick and choose where I want to go without 3 people in my face as soon as I hit the LOS. Tosses are actually effective at times for me, I've never had success with tosses in previous next gen maddens. The wildcat plays are awesome, I can't wait to try it with the Dolphins!

Pro-tak has a lot of potential. It can be utilized tremendously in runs up the middle. Gang tackles mainly happen in runs up the middle IRL, and pro-tak can emulate that next year better than it does now. Right now, it seems as if it has to activate itself instead of being a regular part of the game. You can tell when Pro-tak is going to start compared to regular tackles so that needs to be improved next year. All tackles should be able to utilize pro-tak. That way players will always be in on the play instead of standing because that specific tackle animation doesn't use the full Pro-tak system.

The presentation is probably already better than 06-09 on next gen and it doesn't even have commentary! Seriously, the pre-game warm-ups are amazing, the Super Bowl stuff is amazing and it isn't anywhere near the real thing, so we can all expect a lot more with the retail version of the game. Add in halftime and postgame highlights, ingame replays, commentary, franchise game ticker, a wide variety of banners and this game is chock full of great presentation elements!

Anyone who doesn't think this game is different than Madden 09 is really just trying to be a *****. This game is the foundation for some true sim football! Can't wait till August 14th!
