Pro evo is serviceable but you're right, its not half as smooth and the dekes/stick movement feel fairly limited.
Well, both games could stand to tweak the tripping calls, but I agree with moving the poke check back to a button.

Yes Realm, Joker is a TRUE FLIP FLOPPER .

Agreed on the tripping call tweaks for both. Yeah I know, I was more so just giving you **** the other day really.

I honestly hope the controls are the same in 2K10 as they are in 2K9, just smoother. The scheme itself is fine, just a bit clunky with the feel.
I prefer buttons but in nhl I use a hybrid , hate the stick for passing .
I would never use it for baseball but in boxing it works quite well but it really wears out your controller

Yeah I guess you're right about that.

Poke check on the stick is pretty awkward after playing NHL 09 so much this year, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea.

The one thing I don't like is the speed boost. If I'm skating in a straight line, holding the stick all the way forward, why wouldn't I want to be going my fastest? It presents the illusion of choice, but really, you're going to use it every rush down the ice, and every time you're trying to get back on the back check. There's really no other time to use it, and it seems like it's always up when you need it in those situations. Just another button to press. Don't want!

After three months of waiting I am left with a "so what" feeling. I have wanted to hear something that would get me excited about this series again but thus far I have heard nothing. Other than NHL 94, I have never been an EA fan but the GM MODE may seal the deal for me if I don't see some meaningful info about franchise mode ASAP.
