Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
In my opininon (and I would like to hear others thoughts on this) I think the Cowboys vs Giants demo is a significant jump in quality over the Superbowl demo. The graphics are literally twice as crisp and the game seems much smoother and plays at a more realistic speed.
My buddy who doesnt play much Madden came over and we first played the 5 minute demo. Then I put on the 1 minute demo and after the first few plays he said "This is twice as good as that last demo, Madden is back"

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
the only thing that i really dont like is the controller vibrating anytime somebody gets close to the qb... for some reason that makes me panic and just throw it to somebody even if they are covered... but wat really makes me mad is when THERE IS NOBODY AROUND AND IT VIBRATES LIKE THERE IS... ill look down and see that the closest guy is on the ground... and later ill look down and they are being blocked... i hope i can change that in the settings... i really dont like thatComment

Since you are in the know, the demo build we have right now was a demo that was produced 2-3 weeks before the Madden team did their last tuning for the game.to all of u who say ea will fix all the problems and bugs with about 2 weeks left are crazy believe what u c in the demo is pretty much what u will get august 14 they is already in warehouses ready to b ship i would know im in the game industry and know how shipping and distribution workComment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
the problem is there is no counter animation besides tackling but a guy like fitz is not doing to drop too many times. if they gone have a rocket catch on offense then the defense has to have another legitimate counter or else its an exploitI don't think EA blew anything. The game has many many improvements over 09. Yes there are bugs and glitches. I want to see the retail version before I pass judgment. There was 2-3 weeks left to polish and tune the game, not to mention patch 1 which I hear is going to be live on launch day.
That said, I do see some of the issues in the demos, but they are not game killers by any means, at least IMO. I also don't get what the major problem with the rocket catch is. Players catch the ball like that all the time. Especially Fitz.
My problems are the pass rush: Should be fixed with sliders
Psychic DB's: Testing this out over and over and I have not been able to reproduce it.
Lead blockers turning back to the middle of the field: I am hoping this is fixed in the retail version.
All in all, its a solid step forward for the Madden team. If you don't see that then Im sorry, you must not want to like the game, or the game just isn't for you. Is that your fault? No. But its just the way it is. If you expected a completely different game then you were wrong to think that. Its the same engine. Either you like it/tolerate it, or you hate it.Comment

There has also been a confirmed day 1 demo from Ian. Seriously man look how different the NCAA demo was from the final version. I already think that this version of the game is amazing, and if we see that kind of leap from this version to the retail version it will be better than NFL2K5.to all of u who say ea will fix all the problems and bugs with about 2 weeks left are crazy believe what u c in the demo is pretty much what u will get august 14 they is already in warehouses ready to b ship i would know im in the game industry and know how shipping and distribution workComment

i keep hearing this. too bad i have to wait til next week to check it out. stupid sony and their unwillingness to pay for demos. In my opininon (and I would like to hear others thoughts on this) I think the Cowboys vs Giants demo is a significant jump in quality over the Superbowl demo. Take from it what you want....My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
I can't enjoy it when 5 out of 10 plays in a drive doesn't work due to warp block or players doing a super 180 to make a tackle, or the ball going through a DB hands. Madden 10' is an improvement but it's inconsistent. Those flaws can occur at the worst possible moment. My demo does too, but I don't sit there and analyze every single play because of a few reasons:
1) I don't have the time. It's long enough to play a game and added to replaying a play a few times per play, would take away my enjoyment and the the time I added onto playing a game. I don't want to go to divorce court at this stage.
2) If a few plays look out of place during the game, I'm not going to fret about it.
I'm not saying this game or any game is without flaws. If it's a situation where there were flaws with every play, then I'd say the game was broken.
That's just not true.
I feel bad for the people that going on be participating in tournaments and they get so far but thanks to flaw that occurs out of nowhere, their going home empty handed and wasted their time.
If something doesn't work properly, I would like to know what went wrong and make adjustments. That was my purpose into looking at the instant replay in the first place not to look for a flaw.
I was one of the people who said that Madden 09' was just a demo as well.Comment

Madden NFL 10 Exclusive Gamestop demo Impressions, Version 2.0
A few days (and about a hundred pages) ago I posted my initial impressions of the demo, not that anyone noticed/cared. Basically I said it was good, but blocking was questionable at best.
After playing a few more games, I realized it's all about the sliders. I tried a game with Custom sliders (on a scale of 1-100, Passing: 45-50, Running: 20-25, Pass Defense: 70-75, Run Defense: 55-60), and the game was amazing. I won 31-14 as the Cardinals, but the game was a lot more even than you can tell from the score. The Steelers were able to move the ball well on me running and passing, but Adrian Wilson picked off two passes in the endzone to kill the Steelers' drives (he had a third INT and was MVP of the game).
As the Cards, my passing attack was great, not quite unstoppable, but extremely powerful. My running attack was ok, Wells was able to truck a defender to two one-on-one, but didn't bust out of any gang tackles. My pass defense was spotty (except Wilson) and my run defense was solid, but let off a few big runs.
There was one play that really got me, but it's not a gamebreaker or anything. I ran a play where the LG pulled, and the Center was supposed to block back on the NT (Casey Hampton). He completely ignored Hampton and went after the LB, but he didn't take the easy road and go straight ahead around Hampton (who was lined up shaded to the C's left) and go to the LB, he turned 90 degrees in his stance, ran around Hampton to the LEFT and then went up on the LB while Hampton flattened Wells 3 yards deep. One of those crazy WTF plays, but other than that the game was great.Comment
