Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
all u ea fanboys need to cut it out this slowed downed gameplay is horrible the game is not fluid at all and all the over the shoulder catches even in the flats is something that should never happen i cant wait until ea exclusive contract with the nfl runs if they wouldnt have brought the exclusive rights 2k would have put ea out the football game business by now and all u ea cheerleaders know itBroncos...this would of been much better fitting i suppose for Cplus1 lol
And to the the rest of the purposely hating peeps...which are about to lose out on one bad a$$, exciting fun playing game of madden...

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
so is the general consensus from those who've played both that the gamestop demo is a really old build, and the cowboys/giants is more recent?

Aren't you the one throwing a present up? I admit, it takes some getting used to, especially whenever a game DOES become more sim (or realistic). But, maybe you should stop trying to force passes, and get better at avoiding sacks. Unless you're talking about the CPU QB also.
And this way of thinking is just horrible. You wouldn't be alone if you decide not to buy the game. And maybe enough people feel like you to send EA a message. A boycott starts with one person, anyway. And it shouldn't matter how many copies it might sell. Do what is best for you.Last edited by LAKE4742; 07-25-2009, 03:53 AM.Comment

AllMadden/gamestop demo/PS3.
I notice it on outs vs Man coverage. Outs are Man killers @ every level of football, so IMO its a problem. I dont rerun plays either. The defenders are cutting a split second before the reciever cuts. Doesnt seem to happen on other routes like slants, posts, or angles, for example.Comment

I think I know what a demo is, and I have impessions to post. Fake screen draw out of PITT playbook is a nice, new play. Maybe you should stay on topic, instead of making pointless comments.Last edited by MAHAM; 07-25-2009, 04:12 AM.Comment

One thing really boiling my blood is there is no element of surprise vs. the CPU. Blitz and they pick it up every time or the QB quick passes.Call a run and they're shifting to the run side.Audible and they back off.How does the CPU know everything you do?Even NFL teams aren't that good.I wonder will EA ever fix this.Ca$hville 4 Life...

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
I just have to say as a guy who has loved 2k5,I'm surprised that there's not more of a positive responce to this game. I mean there are real pockets. Different quaterbacks really seem to play to thier skill set. I love the fact I can lob over linebackers and not have them jump and pick it off.
Pro-tack was not just a marketing thing, it really makes the game feel more like football, it's not perfect but really solid for it's first time out. I mean, You can't tell me trying to push the pile with Beanie Wells is'nt an awesome thing, when You gotta get that last inch.
I mean even the fullbacks in the game I played, blocked and cleared the lane. Again there are some lineman who arent always blocking like they should but it doesnt happen every play.
When was the last time You could say it was fun to play as a dt? Well it's fun to use the stick , knock the center back and block a passing lane and knock a pass down.
I mean it's far from perfect but if You can't find more positves than negatives it's more than likely Madden is never going to please You.
In closing, this is from a guy who hasnt been happy with Madden since 05 and now I am stoked about where Phil, Ian and the rest of this crew are doing with Madden.Comment

That's so true. This game feels dynamic and not scripted. The outcome is not certain. I can't wait until the retail version. I love the speed, animation, graphics, etc...
On a positive note-I really enjoy the "anything can happen" feel I get from this game. I sense this is what NCAA devs were shooting for when they wanted "wide open gameplay". Big plays don't seem to happen too often (other than pick 6), but I still feel like my guy can break a couple tackles at any moment and go the distance. I love that.
They also said that there was still some tuning left and this demo doesn't have graphics animations in it. Wow.When the game is on the line, winners want the ball.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Can someone explain to me why everyone has been complaining about the pass rush, in a demo, where the developer has stated that this was an earlier build and some pass rush tweaks were left out amongst other things?
Really confusing me here. Is it just because he told us ahead of time that the pass rush was yet to be tweaked in this early build that everyone decides to whine about it?Comment

Good point. It's as if people don't realize it's a demo without some specific components. They act like this is the final game. Can someone explain to me why everyone has been complaining about the pass rush, in a demo, where the developer has stated that this was an earlier build and some pass rush tweaks were left out amongst other things?

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Definitely impressed because the last 3 versions of madden have been unplayable for me. The atmosphere is definitely up to the 2k level IMO (sorry had to go there). The player models finally look proportionate to their positions. I notice some player separation finally, i.e. Marion Barber looks and moves like Marion Barber. I love the slow pace of the game, which allows me to have a clear view of my receivers as they run their patterns. I don't agree with some of the complaints about the pass rush. madden 10 makes it feel like I am in control of my d lineman, and I have never liked playing middle linebacker in any game before this but now I can blitz or go side to side and feel like it's all me. Love the passing mechanics, still not perfect but much better than in the past. I haven't seen the super human dbacks once. Even on interceptions (which I have thrown a lot of) the DBacks seem to jump at a normal height and that goes for knock downs too. So far so good IMHO for MADDEN 10.Originally posted by jim416You are the 2k Police. :)Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Huh??
----------------------------------------------------------
Question:
Anyone have a big run up the middle yet? I've seen videos of long runs to the outside and had those myself, but I can't not get a long run up the middle at all. Most yards I've got is around 12 and then I get swarmed everytime. But outside runs seem easier to get huge gains.Comment
