madden does do good things but its so inconsistent. the NFL is about consistency but with proper technique and execution, madden consistently using improper technique and execution and thats why it cant be called a simulationEa has made some improvements to the game.2k fanboy or Madden fanboy you have to acknowledge that.I give them credit.I respect the honesty of Ian Cummings and coming on this site.However , I think he and his team really going to catch a lot of heat and critics are going to have a field day on them..Critics are going to dissect this game because of the statement: What you see on Sunday, you will see in Madden 10 and then Ian saying they want to make people forget about 2k5.That is a tall order.Madden 09 will not touch Madden 10.But Ian and crew upped the stakes.Folks are going to compare Madden 10 to what they see on Sunday.I think that is unfair to EA but EA made it their noble goal.I personally would have said we are going to do our best but dont expect perfection.Apex has already what 3 zillion videos with the demo.Wait till he gets the game.He is gonna flood youtube with videos.

madden 10 in regards to passing is really good but running and physics and certain animations are horrible. madden in order to surpass and slay 2k dragon every AREA of the game has to be GOOD(dont have to great but is preferred) at one time.Comment

Ok guys,since the thread was closed and said it should be in this one,what do you guys think about the RC?
To me,because of the slowed speed,it is EASY AS PIE to RC now (and this is on all pro and all madden setting). I mean who needs strafe when you got all the time in the world to turn your receiver to the ball???
Now I have noticed that the animation for the catch is certainly more realistic this year,but its still the same steps and technique to pull off.
Has anyone played a human and saw a difference in coverage? I'd like to know so we can get this to Ian and they can see that The RC is still there,and maybe even easier...lord help us!Ca$hville 4 Life...

Not at all. I have disliked many EA games and even in the ones that I liked, I always pointed out the flaws. I couldn't stand NHL 2005 for PS2 (too much checking) and I really haven't gotten into a next-gen Madden yet. I hated the graphics in '07 and '08 (don't even get me started on the radio announcer from those two years) and '09's gameplay was far from ideal.
I have expressed concerns about '10 as well based upon the demo. I'm having a hard time generating a pass rush, for example. Maybe it's me, maybe it's the game, but it's something that I observed. they just dont have talent. but all the players follow the same footwork and stances technique in there respected position. all follow the same rules and maybe alot of they dont execute properly hence why you have great teams from the bad teams but all the games are played the same way. madden dont do that from any position besides QBComment

Well, to make the NFL you need to have a fair level of talent. I think a lot of it comes down to preparation, desire, discipline and execution at that level. That's what separates good teams from bad teams. Do you skip out to eat lunch or spend an hour watching film on the other team?
