    Whats with QB Sneak?

I noticed this year that EA decided to put in a automatic QB sneak. Basically when your inside the 5 yardline, and your pick a QB Sneak out of your Goal Line set, your QB just dives on the ground, and tries to pick up the first down.

Well I was playing BYU in the dynasty, and it was 4th and 1 from the 3 yardline. I was just trying to get the first so I could kill the clock before I scored since it was in 4th Quarter. Well, I pick QB Sneak, and instead of letting me control the QB to get the 1st, my QB automatically just dives down to the ground and doesn't get the first down. I could have easily gotten the 1st if I was controlling him, but NO. He could have easily got it but one of my OL was in front of him and had the "running into a wall" effect and and didn't go any where..

This almost cost me the ball game because of this stupid BS annimation. Just let us control the QB just like in the middle of the field.
I wouldn't ever set out to hurt anyone deliberately unless it was, you know, important -like a league game or something.

The Qb's reaction depends on how many down lineman are on defense. I believe if there are less than 4 (or 5, can't remember), the QB won't dive, and you can run like last year. If there are more than that, you pick which direction you want your QB to dive with the left stick (straight up for behind the center, up-left to his left, up-right for his right).

I am pretty sure I have ran with like 6 down lineman before though. It only seems to dive for me if I am in the redzone.

thats just my point...I DON"T WANT TO DIVE!! Why force me to have to watch my QB dive a inch and not pick up the first down when it was WIDE OPEN. On my then one ocassion my QB instead of just being able to run and get it...which was wide open, he just dives and doesn't pick it up because he only dove a foot.

If they wanted that annimation put into the game, they should have made it a seperate play. I've almost lost games because of this dumb annimation. You all know when your RB is running behind a OL, and runs into him but his feet keep on going but he's not running anywhere, well this has happened to me a more then one ocassion with this QB sneak. Just plain dumb...never, ever will I want the CPU to take control of one of my players on a key down, at a key point in the game....because 9/10 it doesn't work out.

LMAO at your logic. When have you ever seen a QB sprint down the field on a QB sneak?

+ freakin 1. It's better this year. Last year's automatic 4 or 5 yards was pretty aggravating. OP, just run a FB or HB dive.

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT A QB SNEAK IS. IT IS A DIVE.

I'm pretty sure EA made it that way so Cheeser like you wont get on-line and run QB sneaks 35 times a game and pick up 4-5 yards everythime
"Thank you EA for a Great Football Game"
"Eli you are one tough SOB"

Holy Crap...how do you know how I play? Thats weird because that is exactly what I do, however it's more like 45 times, not 35.

Anyways, back to reality here. I wouldn't have a problem with it if the games "physics" weren't screwed up all to heck. We've all seen the "running into the wall, with your feet still moving but not going anywhere" annimation. Bascially with your running with your RB, and you run into a OL, your feet are still moving but you arn't going anywhere. About 90% of the time when I try and run this play, my QB runs into an olineman and doesn't go anywhere when he tries to dive, thus causing me to NOT pick up the first down.

Bascially what I'm trying to say here is, if I was able to control him when he dives that would be ideal. Instead of my QB "diving in place" everytime and not getting the 1st, thus defeating the purpose of the play, I could control him as he dives so he dives farther then a nanometer.

LMAO at your logic, when was the last time you saw a RB run into a wall, with his feet still moving but not going anywhere? When was the last time you saw a LB being "sucked in" by a OL in order for him to be blocked? When was the last time you compared this GAME to REAL LIFE? HAHAHA....sorry, I just had to laugh at your lack of intelligence and common sense.

A little advise my man, this is a GAME, and will ALWAYS BE ONE. So, for your sake, don't compre reality with fiction....usually it doesn't fly.

you can control it, there is just basically a limit to how effective the play will be. if its a full 4th and 1 its a tricky proposition to call a qb sneak and get it. you line up and you see prior to snapping where youre likely to get the most yardage, LG-C gap, C, C-RG gap. i dont know if it has any effect but ill actually press the dive button myself too.

Yeah i always press dive button as soon as I cross the 1st down line if the QB doesn't dive for me. Reasoning being, one of two things usually happen if I don't, either my QB gets lit up and gets injuried, or he gets lit up and fumbles.

I'm just never able to get the 1st/touchdown with this years sneak. On the millimeter yard line, about to score, my QB will "dive in place" instead of diving for the first.

That being said, there are a lot of other plays to choose from I realize, and have learned to NEVER run a QB dive, but it kind of stinks that this play is useless this year.
