What do you expect Michael Vick's player ratings to be in Madden NFL 10? I am guessing his OVR will be a 85.

He ought to be around 70.

a) he has been out of the game for two years

b) he was NEVER a great QUARTERBACK, just a great ATHLETE. Look at his QB rating.


btw, I suspect you should have just posted this in the ratings thread. Maybe because it is Vick it will be a special case, but I doubt it. Probably gonna be locked soon.

85 overall is a tad bit high..........

I'd say probably a 67-68 overall......... probably 89 speed, 92 throw power and 65 throw accuracy and a 60-65 awareness.........

And he's also the absolute biggest matchup problem in the entire NFL with his ability to throw and run. Ronnie Brown/Brian Westbrook would have to be second.

Dude..you know, i personally think the guy isnt that great, last time he was playing he totally dropped the ball in the last season he played. His 2nd half of his last season was terrible...i think he should be rated no higher then 80 at most..

Maybe he was too busy thinking about his pet dogs.. i kid, i kid

60s to low 70s. He's a question mark at this point though. He could be down in the 40s or up in the 80s by the end of the year.

Well he should start off at around 73 overall. Hasnt played in 2 years and wouldve been around an 85 if he had never gone to jail. Hes a great runner with a strong arm but hes just not a great passer.

67 too low


still be close to 90 SPD, close to 90 THP, SAC/MAC/DAC in the 60's-low 70's.

Personally, I judge QBs on their ability to win games. 38-28-1 isn't too shabby considering how abysmal the Falcons were before he showed up. He was a good quarterback, just not a traditional quarterback.

As far as overall goes, I'd see whatever the lowest NFL starter's overall is and take like 3-5 points off that and I would give him that until he proves he can play at a high level again.

Throw Accuracy: 65
Throw Power: 80
Ability to kill dogs: 97
Awareness: 70
Acceleration: 87
Overall: 71

That is flawed logic, it takes every man on the field to win a game, without his offensive line, receivers, running backs, AND most importantly defense, the QB means nothing.

Wins/Losses is a team stat.

I agree, I mean Trent Dilfer won a freaken SUPERBOWL as a starting QB with the Ravens in 2000. Does that mean he is a better QB then guys like Brees or Marino? Wins/Losses is defintely a team stat.

I'd be extremely suprised if he got annnyyyttthhinnngg higher than a 73-75. I dont think he should be above a David Gerrard (sp?) who is a 78 Overall, and I think Vince Young who is a 68 is too low..but realistically Vick and Vince shouldnt be drastically different.
