Compared to the demo of the Superbowl on my PS3 these graphics look incredible.

Should I be worried that the PS3 is falling behind in the graphics department this year or does the Pro Bowl video look great, not because it's on the 360, but because it's a much later build than the Superbowl demo and will look equally good on the PS3?

Dude, I don't know whussup with your TV or PS3 or hookup or what. I have a 1080p Aquos and run my PS3 through an HDMI 1.3a cable with gold plating on the ends - THE DEMO LOOKS SICK!! MUCH better than Madden 09, which I liked too. As for someone speaking about the NCAA 10 demo sucking but the retail version looking great, that was definitely true on my PS3. I had a hard time dealing with the not so crispness of the demo visuals but once I got the retail version, woooo, was I happy. I can imagine how much better the visuals the retail version of Madden 10 will look.

As for the helmet issue, I don't think that is something that people would just ignore and not talk about in earnest. I actually posted a blog about this helmet deally, yesterday, after IGN posted the vid. I thought Ian had said that the Pro Bowl helmets would be team specific, this year, but I could be wrong...yet for some reason it is sticking in my head that he did say that. Eh, it is what it is but, in all honesty, I don't play the Pro Bowl anymore just because of that fact. It actually irks me so I skip it, now.

This is how most people feel about both of those in real life anyway lol. More so the pro-bowl than the pre-season.

Preseason = seeing if your new draft picks are any good/trying out strategies

Pro Bowl = waste of time playing with guys you that you don't have the cap room to sign

No one plays the Pro Bowl in Madden, and no one watches it in reality. It's a novelty game at best, and if Madden wanted to add another small layer of realism, it wouldn't even be available to play unless you lost the conference championship game, since those are the coaches who end up at it.

AFC/NFC helmets look better anyway, real or not. All of the real helmets except the Bills, Giants and maybe Patriots look really stupid with the pro bowl uniforms. The old Pats and Oilers helmets weren't too horrible either. The rest of the helmets just look bad.

I’m all about authenticity, and in this case it seems like they don’t have the helmets correct…or do they?
Do we know that the NFL isn’t going back to the “NFC’ and ‘AFC” helmets they wore in the ‘70’s? I guess we will find out next year now won’t we…. dun dun dun!!!!

How is it that we are now at Madden 10 and yet they have not figured out a way to get the Pro Bowl right? The ONLY, absolutely ONLY cool part of the Pro Bowl is seeing all the different helmets. How is it that this feature was available in NFL2K, almost ten years ago and now is non-existent?

Actually, that was something that I even researched, myself, before I posted my own blog. I found nothing that indicates that the NFL are going back to the old school 'A's and 'N's helmets. I'm just wondering if they will have the Pro Bowl BEFORE the Superbowl and in Miami, like the NFL is saying are going to do for this upcoming Pro Bowl

RCA Dome was torn down last year. Our new place has a roof that can be opened or closed.

Surely if it was raining like that the roof would be closed?

And I for one actually like the generic helmets lol.
