I have to admit I'm a little bummed out about not hearing anything about revamping the entire passing system and footplanting (aka no more sliding)...and revamping the lock-on defensive trigger, that could use an overhaul..defense needs to be fun again! but a lot of that preview does sound good to me..

In the comparison of the chicago bulls arena, why is the 2k court a different color?

The screens are good, and the faces kick *** compared to live, they just use excessive depth of field in the screens, but that ain´t during gameplay. That amount of DOF.

Here´s the thing. 2K has ruled, and will again just like every year. And every year Live comes out with "this year we are amazing, really,,,we really are....please listen...come on...this year is our year...realllyyyy...come on...."
Live still is so bare bones and are in catch up mode for atleast 2 more years.

I also like the news about the double teams not just being canned animaitons anymore. That was one of my biggest problems on defense last year because it led to an easy basket 90% of the time. Glad it was addressed.

the real one looks more crowded. but who cares. when you play it won't make a difference

that's one of my major problems with 2k. the coloring isn't really comparable to real life. maybe use a different color palette? and their court is smaller. make it a little wider.

Lighting plays a big part.

But remember, it's still a WIP. Color gripes can easily be changed.

This looks like 2K9 to me. The only difference I see is the bench players have on warm ups

It would be pretty simple. Just have to change the base color to match what you see in real life.

They might do something such as use the actual color codes that NBA teams use but if the lighting is off then you end up with some slightly off colored jerseys/courts.

Just needs a more personal touch. Can certainly be changed right before they finalize the game. Hopefully they listen to feedback from these screens... some colors have been off for a while now.

2K has always had color issues with some courts. I remember the early 2K days where the red colors at the UC were burgundy. I'm just happy it is red now.

I'm looking forward to this, I love career modes and the "My Player" feature looks like it could be decent. If the commentary's as good as they say it is too, that makes me excited. And all that other stuff too looks promising. Overall, I'm looking forward to this game and can't wait to see what else is new in 2K10!!!

the career mode soundsfun and glad to hear they are trying to fix the Defense. but if they dnt fix the basic fundamentals of defense i will cry lol
in 2k9 you can basically walk in the paint with no help D or decent rotating D. If you really try you can score all your points with your star player but not alot of people do that. Passing is ridiculous in traffic..its just the passes they decide to do in situations..lastly animations look great but what the point if you cnt control your player..im sorry but 2k9 was their worst PLAYING basketball game just IMO.

yea they mentioned that lighting is improved but based on that arena screen, the lighting still sucks... but they did well last year adding anti-aliasing (360) and cleaning up the image quality so I have hope they'll fix the lighting to be more dynamic/realistic as well for 2k10

That read was worth the long wait, no more stuck in a double team animation, spacing on the court, d-league, and 82games.com is why I will be sticking with the big dog on the block again this year.

Can't wait to see some gameplay videos and make my final judgement well to see if my choice may change.
